8" Lift Questions

Swapping my 87 k10 body onto a new powdercoated shortbox frame with 1 ton axles. On my current truck with the 1/2ton frame/body, im running a 12" superlift with 39.5 boggers. The new frame im moving the body to has an 8" all spring superlift. I am trying to find as many pictures as possibly to see what i can fit under the 8" without trimming. I have googled my heart out and searched on the forum without much luck. This truck will strictly be a mall crawler/show truck. No wheeling whatsoever. Preference would be 38's or 38.5's but i wanted to see pics of that setup and confirm it would work.

I have seven inch suspension with a one inch body lift up front and I clear 37s but they rub on the fenders at full crank off road

Ya, I've heard mixed things. This truck won't see offroad, it'll strictly be a show truck/weekend driver.

I really don't want to put on a another body lift. My new 8" is all springs. I've seen some other options like diy4x EZ inch; does that only move the axles forward or does that really give you an extra inch of lift/clearance? I think at 9" I could clear 38's pretty well. Let me know of there are any body lift alternatives to gain 1/2" of additional lift.

The EZ Inch does get you another inch of height. You can have the axle centered, or choose to move it 1 or 1.5 inches forward or rearward.

Simple , all I did is grab some solid 1" blocks and longer center pins and u-bolts and throw it all together and you have a 9" lift. Make sure you check out all your other stuff , driveshafts , shocks , brake lines etc... and make sure they are good to go.As far as running 38's that all depends on how wide your wheels are , 8" wide no problem , 10" wide still problably ok , 12" wide maybe some trimming , 14" wide trimming for sure.This is my blazer I am working on with a 9 and 40's just for mud and it is fine , but for rock crawling no good , on the street it barely touches but the fenders are cut.

They are bart 15x14 , 8 lug , 3 1/2" back space

6'' suspension 3'' body lift 38x12.50 tires

I had to twist it pretty hard to get the tires to rub they were only 12.50's on 9.75 wide wheels so not real wide

for a pavement pounder I think you could clear 38.s

I had a 78 k5 with and 8" lift and 1" shackles up front with 38s and no rub. Tires looked small on it. Kinda like a 6" lift with 35s. I'll see if I can find any pics and post them up.
