i heard u can take 1/2 tone springs and blocks and put on it to give it 3 inchs is there any truth to this?

No truth, Stock springs are stock springs. The only time youll get additional lift from stock springs is if the leaf count is higher causing the thickness of the pack to be bigger than your original.
