Well you all are no help, lol. I was hoping folks would say "yeah that's a neat car and all, but that's a rusty pile". I should have known better I guess

I really do want the damn thing and his asking price is fair. But I'd still feel more comfortable spending a little less with what I currently know about the car. Like I said before, I really need to look at it again, but when the ground is not straight mud and it's not a rain/snow mix coming down.

That's be a good income tax refund.

Then you don't have to pull money out the bank.

I've been eyeballing this '73 SS for a year or more now, but I finally stopped to check it out today. Its the only year that you could get a Chevelle as an SS and it didn't have to be a coupe. I figured others might like to see it.

It's a 350 car and all the SS badging is still there. The original rear wheels are gone. With the exception of the LR door, the paint appears to be original. The interior is black and actually decent besides a ripped up front bench seat. The fenders, doors, rockers and RR quarter all need some patch work. The LR quarter is pretty well shot. Frame appears to be solid.

I so badly want to buy this car, but the last thing I need is another rusty project.
You just learned me somethin! Thanks bucket.

Uh huh.
You got it like that Mr.454SS truk, there are no excuses accepted.

At LEAST he didn't say "screw you Kid" or somethin like that. I wouldn't be a very motivated seller either ...but everything I got is for sale!
Word up.

You got this .
Save your pennies!

It's actually in the back 'lot' of a used car dealer. I don't know if he got the thing for himself or what, I didn't ask. He's had quite a few muscle cars and classic trucks there over the years, usually a Chevy. Everything there is always for sale, but some things he likes having around.

I hate that front end so it would be easy for me to dismiss it. Even if it is ss wagon

They look so much better with a tucked, shaved and narrowed front bumper.

I've had several ideas for the car pop up in my head since I first became aware of it. An economical cruiser is probably what I would go for. A basic 350 with Vortec heads and probably even TBI. I've had an extra T5 trans kicking around for a long time that would be fun, but I'd probably break it even with a mild 350.

You can even see the car giving Andy the puppy dog eyes just begging for him to take it home. Why's he gotta be so mean to that car?? :(
