4" lift 33's or 35's?

Can anyone confirm a 85 shortbed 4x4 has 52" rear leafs?

Yes it should unless somebody has moved the hangers and installed 56's

Pretty sure shortbed only came in 52in springs and didn't have the holes punched for the 56in option.

Cool looking truck. Same push bar as on the front of my K1500. I was hoping to get lights for it soon, as with many other things on wait. It does look good though. I think I'll go with round ones too. I already have 4in front lift springs and 2in blocks for the rear. Hoping it will sit level that way, if not, I may have to get different blocks.

Haha as you can see I need new lights, looks kinda like my truck is a little cross eyed!!

Your gonna have the same set up as me, my 35" tires rub on the front fenders now on a turn. I dont have stock rims, they're a bit wider. I bought 2" add a leafs to give me a little bit more lift. Lets see how that goes this weekend.

I don't think it's the wider rims that causing the rubbing. It appears to me, that it's the wheel offset.

Yep, if I have my way, this one will have 3/4 ton 2wd longer rear springs, front axle converter to 8 lug, and 14 b full float rear end on 16in OEM wheels and the 4in front lift springs and 2in blocks, so it might sit even a bit higher.

That truck has 12" wide wheels on it , (look at the tire bulged out) and with a 4" lift with 35's with 12 wide's they will hit for sure.You can get wheels in all different off sets but if you stay with a 4" back space (lets say) an 8" wide has 4" out , a 10" wide has 6" out and a 12" wide has 8" out so the wider the wheel the more chance of fender rub you have. You can get wheels with different offsets but still , a 12" wide wheel is a wide ass wheel. I like the look of wide wheels , (myself) but you need more lift to run them.This is my 77 with 14" wide barts with 3 1/2" back space with 40's

Ohh man, that's kind of funny you put those redneck side boards on your truck. I was just thinking of doing the same thing to my truck out of left over fence panel cutoffs that are laying around everywhere. I wanted to do it so I get more in my truck while moving to storage and since the materials were free, at least do it temporary. I was a bit afraid of the Redneck look factor though. It actually doesn't look all that bad, especially for temporary use. My Daughter and Son in Law have several fence panels that like half to 1/3 cut offs when they put up all new fence for tornado damage repair and he was going to put them out for the trash. I said hell NO. I have a use for those. I'm also going to be building a climate controlled office in my man cave, and would use the pickets for decking on top of the office to store my household items that will be boxed up for awhile til I buy or rent another house. He did save them for me. It doesn't look near as bad as I thought so I might just go for it.

We made a set for my dads 91 k2500 that we use for selling stuff at swapmeets, we can pile more in the back with the side railings.
Ours are made of 2x4's tho, its a little more heavy duty then fence panels...

I'd want to keep them lightweight as possible and best looking as possible. The other idea I like about them, is I can put my dogs in the back of the truck and take them "laters" and not have to worry about them jumping or falling out.

Getting your own wood for the winter is hard work, so I say if your gonna make a trip for wood, might as well bring as much as you can haha!!!

Well I got the 2" add a leafs on, and man did it stiffen up the ride. I hope it softens out soon. I think I'll also be needing long brake lines.... I'll post some pictures of the new look soon!
