Im sure this question has been asked a million so sorry in advance but im torn. Im planning on lifting my truck 4" with a rough country kit and buying a set of dunlop mud rovers in 33 or 35x12.50 (on stock wheels for now). Just cant decide which. Ive read about guys fitting 33's on stock suspension and im afraid if i go that route they'll look too small. At the same time i like things looking porportional and i think 35's will look too "stuffed" in the wheel wells. I just dont want to spend 800 bucks on tires and end up having them look goofy. I was considering going the 35" route and adding a 1" body lift from offroaddesigns. But the less i have to spend the better. I'm assuming a total of 5" of lift will clear 35's with minimal to no rubbing? Im also somewhat worried about tearing up the 10 bolt rear/44. I've read 35' is the max size people recommend running. The truck is'nt used for any heavy offroading. Thanks for any help guys.

Here's some info on the truck; 87 v10 single cab, long bed, 350, sm465 3:42 gear (will change to match tires soon)

Thanks again!

Since you're running stock rims with a stock offset, I'd say you're most likely OK to go 35's if that's what you wanted. Running the SM465 manual trans, you're OK to run the 35's too w/ 3.42's. If you were running a 700r4, I'd say NO. That's just my .02. Stock wheel offset, and SM465 w/3.42's, run the 35's if that's what you want. Go For it.

with a 4 inch lift id say definitely 35's, it doesnt look too stuffed to me. 33s would look too small (i personally dont like a jacked up/small tire look). if you wanted an extra inch id get the zero inch add a leaves instead of a body lift :doublepuke:

Why mud rovers? There are far better choices for tires on the market.

35's for street use or mild to moderate offroading maybe, if you want some hard core wheeling, flexin and wider/less backspace more offset wheels later, do 33's but they do look too small.

had it on stock rallys, rough country 4 inch lift, 33's way too small. I wished we had 35's.

Tirebuyer.com...googled discount codes you enter at checkout. Ended up at retailmenot.com. Used a code for 12% off an order over 800 "retailmenot12". They have others aswell.

Best part is i ordered them yesterday and fedex is scheduled to deliver today. Though it looks like they're only coming from one state over.

if you do the proper bumpstop setup if should be fine, i had to get new bumpstops and put a spacer in order to prevent rub/ bottoming the shocks

If its on road truck 35s will work but like stated will rub offroad.. I had 3" lift and 33s on stock rallys looked good didn't rub. Then added another 4" 36" swampers offset wheels and they rubbed offroad some.

That truck had older 12bolt rear welded and d44 front setup with 3.08 gears too was fine on road was a dog offroad tho in deep mud. Only thing I ever broke on it was front axle joints..
