Thanks guys, yeah Casey I was thinking at least that, the shipping weight on my 572 with aluminum heads was 900 and some change (can't find my invoice) seems heavy but its a Merlin block and they are beefy, I’m having ORD build a set of custom 6” springs for the weight of the big block, I suppose the only thing they need to know is the exact weight of the new motor but I was curious how close the 2 motors are in weight…

Thanks guys, hard to believe that big block is that heavy considering aluminum heads aluminum intake aluminum serpentine system and headers, imagine that boat anchor with iron heads !
