I have a 1987 Chevy Silverado V10 with the 305/700R4 tbi fuel injection. A while back the 305 finally expired so I'm wanting to do a engine swap. I bought a 350 crate engine (VCM6 from AutoZone)

What I'm asking is; What parts do I need to change or modify for the swap? I'm wanting to keep the TBI just for simplicity instead of doing a intake/carburetor swap.

I've looked and seen plenty of forums say the computer is a problem and a few other smaller things. This is my first engine swap so any help is greatly appreciated.

there's no specs on the Autozone site so its hard to know if it will work well with the ecm. A chip stock chip and 350 tbi injectors at a minimum

This is what I've been told I needed so far.
350 harmonic balancer
350 injectors
350 knock sensor
350 ESC module
350 chip

For the injectors, I have a TBI I know came off of a 350 Suburban.

Hey @1987 GMC Jimmy whats he gonna need to do this? I'm thinking ECM at the least.
He's gonna need a new PROM (both use 7747 ECM) and new injectors at the least. It's gonna run lean otherwise. I think it's necessary to also replace the knock sensor and ESC module and the balancer. I double checked the part numbers just to be safe. It makes sense considering the compression ratios between the two. Everything else should be good to go.
