Maybe check the lift bushings. We have an 06 LJR with a 3" BDS kit, when the kit reached about 7 yrs old every single lift related bushing crapped out over a period of about 4 months. Naturally, it got really loose, sloppy and clunky but after replacing everything it's nice and tight again.
