Bang your head against the stage and METAL takes it's place!
If this ain't 3rd gen Camaro music, nothing is.
I lubed her again..it's good now. Total inspection of the front undercarriage is complete. There isn't a hint of previous damage or even real scrapage/denting/anything under there. I really picked a good one!
Tightened the oil cooler clamps a bit, trans lines look sharp, power steering cooler is clean, bushings are cool, no signs of leakage , it's only dirty. Wonderbar intact and accounted for. Nice and straight...the end links have been replaced..Some of it still is dirty.. for a little bit longer haha.
I found a loose power steering to oil pan TORX 40 bolt and something else strange...my oil pan has been
painted white. Only ONE WAY that can happen...
I drained the oil completely, and flushed some Valvoline through. I had about 3/8 quart dex3 and I primed my oil filter with it.
Looks good.
Front suspension is good. Brakes good. Tires good. The lower radiator hose even has worm gear clamps on it.
A good sign! It seemed
ok when I was squeezin on it. I could hear it moving coolant.
I found a disconnected oil sensor plug thingy ON THE HOUSING. Gauge has been working? Plugged it back in.
I
think my knock sensor between cylinders 2 and 4 is broken. Looks sketchy. Betcha that is at least one reason why the car is so painfully slow cuz it WAS. That and the ANCIENT O2 sensor(s) have GOT TO GO.
I'll get another and some more...I say it "switches painfully slow" and i'm referencing the
fuel trim. Prolly why it's so hard to start too.
I cleaned a little more and lemme tell yous somethin!
If your oil looks like THIS when you change it, you're waiting too long.
Remember, I changed the oil filter FIRST THING?!
We'll get her cleaned up, no worries!
Two oil filters in 11 days? 12? Yeah...
Dirty oil don't help it go fast either. Certainly does nothing for MPG.OR cool running temps.
I'm all over it.

I've got a new fuel filter here with some 80-90 on standby. Moving forward, we press on.
