1980 to 79 headlight swap

I have a 1980 chevy k5 blazer, i want to go from the single square headlights to the earlier single circular headlights. Sense they fit the 73-80 will i have to swap the whole core support or will i just have to swap headlights?

I know its an older thread, but I don't think you need to change the core support.

I'm running an 80 support on my 73 with the original 73 grill and headlight assemblies, and everything fits fine.

I think you'd be fine since its the same square front end instead of the "aerodynamic" body style of the 81-87. Not sure though.

the headlight buckets on the core support are different because he wants to change from a rectangular to round light. highdesertranger
