dont know if this right forum to post, i got a 1977 chevy c65 truck trying take floor board molded rubber pad out to remove transmission plate. the accelarater pedal is mounted to floor over the rubber mat. how does the peddle come off without destroying it or cutting pad

If I remember correctly it should just be a little ball socket that it pops into on the floor. I know the 67-72 style big trucks have the ball socket in the floor, I should be able to check tonight I've got a 70 c50 and a 75 c60
