I just bought this 1976 GMC ,with the 250 6 cylinder and three on the tree. It's in pretty decent shape, and just needs a little TLC. The muffler is shot, so that is the first thing to be addressed. I would like to delete the cat as I am sure it is worthless at this point (engine runs great, so don't think it is clogged).

Looking forward to joining this group.

Welcome! Those wheels are a treat as you don’t see them much. Hope the 250 treats you well.

Super clean truck! Welcome to the site. I always thought the black trim on the side was a 77 model only, like the mustard on the chrome trim. I'd be interested to find out the build date of the truck.

Thanks, guys. Appreciate the welcome! To answer some of the questions, this truck was built in November 1975, and was built with the Big body spear molding. In Michigan, we do not require emissions testing so I will be getting rid of everything from the cat back. Maybe that will get me up to 110 hp!

I'll be searching the forum for tips and ideas...I'm sure we will be talking soon!
