Pretty cool, but I couldn't tell you a single thing about it. My grandpa had a '31 as his first car, that's all I know, lol.

@Termite_Delight might have some input.

He has a starting price at $4,000. Or trade me for my 66 Falcon, seems like his younger brother’s first car was the same model.

Depending on how much of the body looks like the under radiator support swiss cheese, that seems like a reasonable price to me. I've been trying to find a 29 Model A pickup for my dad for a few years and similar shape ones are around $6k in Washington and Oregon.

Yes, It's a 1931 Chevrolet 2dr coach. The hardest part on these cars to restore is the wood, check the hinge pillars where they meet the header. The roof structure looks intact.

I'm guessing that the two hoses stuck together are supposed to go to those tubes on the firewall? I'm assuming that's a heater core. Did they even have water heat in '31?

And what's that hose/cable under the dash, coming up from the floor? It looks like it has a button or something on the end of it?

Maybe a momentary switch for a starter?

I see what looks like a keyhole for a hand crank but...

The 4 cyl had an exhaust manifold heaters. starting in 1929 Chevrolet came out with the first 6cyl with an option for a water heater.
The cable from the floor is the ignition switch. It has a cable inside that attaches to the distributor, when in the off position it holds the points apart. Starter button is on the floor

I've had many of these old cars, you get to know them inside out.
Better than the fords...
Chev had 4 leaf springs, f@rds had 2
Chev had a fuel pump with gastank in the back, f@rds were gravity fed, gastank behind dash
Chev were 6cyl valve in head, f@rds were 4cyl flathead

Why wouldn't you buy a Chevrolet?
