It’s funny that threads like this are the ones the enforcement agencies monitor. you are 100% correct the dummies putting it all over social media whether it’s YouTube or right here they are the problem. Dont believe it? Ask a detective where they find out the most about the criminals they are...
You arent the only one , maybe just on here but this isnt really a performance oriented forum. I run 4.5 degrees and have no problems at all, when i ran 2.5 degrees i was playing jump rope when spinning the tires
Pretty easy, Mark the tire in one spot and the driveshaft in one spot with paint/chalk. Then turn one of the rear wheels 2 full revolutions and while doing that have someone count how many times the driveshaft rotated. So if the driveshaft turns 3 times and the tire 2 times thats a 3.00 ratio...
Sorry I didnt reply earlier I missed this reply somehow. It’s hard to explain but with a leaf spring car/truck essentially you want 5-7 degrees negative pinion angle. With ladder bar/4 link only 1-2 degrees! Imagine if the driveshaft formed a perfectly straight line to the rear axle this would...
So Keith you are saying you never had tire shake with those 12 trucks so this guy shouldn’t check his pinion angle either since you didnt Have to? Did you verify the angles on those 12 jobs or did it just drive smooth so no worry? Im not being smart just wondering since you seem to have the job...
Yeah it makes a big difference when your truck makes enough power to spin the tires on dry pavement. If the angle isnt close it will have bad wheel hop which is super violent if you’ve Ever dealt with it.
That said I have corrected mine on my 5-7 drop and the best way to do it is to go over to...
Very cool to see a step side go to the UK And wow thats as cheap as it is to have one shipped 1000 miles here and not enclosed! What are your plans for the truck?
You get what you pay for especially these days! Ive pulled a bunch of low cost stuff off my truck and replaced with good pieces mostly stuff made in the USA and it actually fits and works so much better every time Im so happy with the higher cost stuff.
