Fast Times At Ridgemont High was the flip side on the 45 of Never Give Up....one of the first Sammy Hagar songs I paid attention to. Loved both songs so much I bought the album, then 2 more.....loved all of them. Became one of my favorite rockers.

Adjusted the rocker arms and carb, 350 vortec purrs like a lion, amazing how much quieter the valve train improved, and idle. Bent these grade 5, 3/8x4-32 bolts rotating the engine 4 complete revolutions. Also tightened the header bolts but still have a slight leak on passenger side, probably should replace the gasket. I now need to figure out a better fuel pump and delivery plan, that Holley red is way too noisy.
Try the mr gasket crushable aluminum header gasket! Never had a leak after switching to those!

Isn't Squarebody restoration fun? I swear I spend more time cleaning and sandblasting getting parts ready for powder coating than anything else. I will say rust repair is coming in at a close second.

I'm trying to talk my wife into letting me buy a bigger oven for powder coating. So I can do big parts. So far not to successful. I'm thinking the 3300.00 dollar price tag is a big issue with her. I told her if we skipped one of our vacations, I could have it. Yeah that didn't help the Cause at all.

Great job so far. Just take your time, and don't over do it. When I had my back surgery, I overdid it a couple of times before I was completely healed, and paid the price.

I can make one suggestion. Get some of those heating pads you can warm up in the microwave. Warm one up and put on a back brace for lifting. It keeps your back nice a warm when it's cold outside, and gives your back a little support.
Used pottery kiln?

New seatbelts from Wesco. https://www.wescoperformance.com/
Ordered the GM logo and they fit the new bucket seats ok.
The receiver is about perfect length and the stock seat belt fits into the new receiver should I ever decide to get them fixed and color change.

The hardware kit they sell is needed for the 4 L brackets mounted with original bolts to floor and pillar but used their hardware to attach the rest.
I installed driver's and these are passenger.

How big do you need, I was going to just build an oven using temperature controls, and heating elements from used household ovens and cinder block or 55 gallon drum depending on what I was doing. Something like this with a grate an oven element and wires to hang the parts.

Pinching pennies here. I’m working on 79-80 door panels and the dash pad from a 91 Sub. Maybe they’ll be worth putting into the 82 K1500 when I’m done.

How did you get my door panel off my truck without me knowing it? Seriously, though, mine looks just like that, chalky, crumbly, faded, and in need of tlc.

Why didn't you pull the plugs?
