New to the Forum

Hello!

Long time Chevy family and Chevy fan. My father's last new vehicle was a 1976 C10, short/stepside. 250/6 3 speed. I inherited that truck in 1979, and put a lot of miles on it. Gave it to my sister in need... and she sold it without asking if I would buy it back!

I bought a new C10 short/wide, 4 speed in 1985. Traded that for a deal on a new 1986 K5 with manual. Put a lot of miles on that one too.

So after a new 97 Z71 and my current K2500HD, I just found a 1980 K10 short/stepside! Also drug home a 1985 C10 frame with a rust-free cab.

I have a new project! SO I may be asking a lot of questions on the rebuild. I will try and search the site before I ask too many simple questions.

Weclome to GMSB Carl. I'll assume you're in Choctaw? I'm not far away in Moore. My son is in Choctaw everyday with his fiance's parents. He lives in Harrah and is on the Harrah volunteer fire dept awaiting Firefighter and Medic school then he'll eventually get hired on there or maybe even OKC or Moore.

I drive a tow truck and seem to get out to the Love's several times a week for tows and roadside assistance calls since our area is County Line Rd to Choctaw Rd, and SW/E 29th to SW/E 89ths.

Be sure to fire up an Under Construction thread with pics of your project. I'll be watching.

Not from Choctaw... I are one!

I actually live in Limestone... just West of Keetonville. Or between Claremore and Owasso, off Oklahoma State Highway 20, in Rogers County, Northeast of Tulsa.

I will be starting on the C/K10 project this summer. Have to finish getting ne barn situated. I am having fun scouring eBay and Craig's List for parts in the mean time.

This truck sure is bringing back memories.

Pictures and a construction thread not that far away.
