Hey guys, just picked up the truck of my dreams last November, and just found this site. Scored an 87 Chevy Scottsdale 4x4 short bed that is 100% original from Cali. Its going to be a working restoration as it will be my daily driver for 1/2 the year. The previous owner said it was special ordered with the camper package which didn't come on the 1/2 ton trucks? I have to look into that. It does have the tie down hooks, 12v bed outlet and rear air shocks that those trucks came factory with though.

Really looking forward to picking your brains on a lot of quirks that the truck has. I'll have some pictures up soon. Heres a short list of upcoming work in the next month or so.

All new shocks (deciding if I should get rid of the rear air bags and air shocks)
New valve seals (smokes like a chimney when it first starts)
Refurbish the radio controls (need to keep hitting the volume/power knob to keep the radio on)
New cab mounts (the rear cab is starting to sag a bit)

Nice truck and center console. A quick fix that doesn't cost anything is to loosen the cab mounts, jack the cab up with a jack and block of wood and put washers between the top of eve mount, and the bottom of the cab. That will bring your lines back up and can be done in an hour
