Just wanted to say hi! Owner of a 85 longbed, 7" lift, fresh 350 sbc, backed by an sm465, swapped out the original worn out bench seat for a newer split bench. Paid 1500 for the truck from my mother in law, and have since invested about 7000 into the truck. Haven't even started on the body yet, and after the initial hit of getting her back on the road, its gonna be a bit before the wife lets me sink any more into her. I also have a 85 monte carlo ss which is a ton of fun!! I'll try to post some eye candy for ya!!

Thank you!!! This will be my second squarebody build, first one being a 2wd shortbox, I replaced inner and outer rockers, lower door skins, cab corners, and replaced the v6 with a 350. I'll have to transfer pics of that one....wiped out the drivers side about a year after the build, and couldn't stand to see it that way. I'm hoping this one has better luck, and looking forward to all the information this site has to offer, along with giving back to the community with info that I've learned from my first build. My first piece of advice which i'm sure most of you already know, what your projected budget is, go ahead and double it....lol. It's a labor of love, and long live the squarebody!!

Blindchicken, I've wrote in full detail everything about the truck for ya......twice....each time I've finished and quick replied, I lost everything I've wrote. Sorry....I can type fast, but to put down everything it must take me too long. Sorry bud...frustrated and going to bed.....thanks for the intrest, it was kind of cool to look back at all ive done so far. Looooooooooooooong way to go though....lmao
