    I’m pretty pissed!!

A 35 is not a giant tire. I trimmed a plastic fender flare corner and tapped the lip back with a mallet. OP is putting 36's on his son's Yukon, so I was offering up solutions to what I've experienced with a similar size tire. The upper control arms fixed my only issues with suspension...

Removing AC unit - Is there a big hole to fill?

I used this so I could keep heat/defroster. Used same heater core and blower motor. Any wires not needed for the blower i cut and taped back in the harness. https://www.acdelete.com/pages/73-90_Truck.htm

What have you done to your square lately??

Curiosity got the better of me so I tore apart the TH350 to see what the issue was. Guess this isnt supposed to look like this lol. Off to the scrap yard it goes :anitoof:

    I’m pretty pissed!!

If the tires clear without adding any more lift by cranking the bars it will be. I had to crank it up a couple inches, trim the bottom of the flares and hammer the lower lips of the fender back to clear 35's without rubbing while turning though. Same lift. Might get lucky with a narrow wheel...

    I’m pretty pissed!!

Cant help with the bushing issues but...If you have to turn up the torsion bars any....beyond the 4" of lift....to clear a 36" tire- I would go ahead and get the Rough Country upper control arms to fix the upper ball joint angle. Otherwise it'll probably eat upper ball joints like mine did. The...

What have you done to your square lately??

If you say so lol. Nothing else is being done to the engine so the rest of the drivetrain will be more than enough for how I drive it. I mean I guess i could've left a turd 305 in it and pu$$yfoot around worrying about mpg but that isn't any fun in my book :deal:

What have you done to your square lately??

Thanks @bucket but you don't gotta do that! Mine is all 1 diameter and will most likely have one made. I just don't trust it Today I cleaned all the rust off and painted the non stainless peices while I had it out. Maybe the Rustoleum ceramic black will hold up better the VHT silver

What have you done to your square lately??

Thanks @bucket I may give this a shot temporarily. I don't even know if its the driveshaft for this truck?? Seems like it should've been at least 3" diameter but is only 2 3/4"

What have you done to your square lately??

Thanks! and yes it's gonna need to be around 3 inches longer. The one in it was really an inch too short from swapping in the 9 inch and too small diameter for the length. The calculators I've used online are saying I need 3.5" diameter to be safe.

What have you done to your square lately??

Got the transmission out completely. Side by side pic. The guy that's gonna build the 400 won't get to it for a couple weeks. Should give me enough time to get everything cleaned up underneath and ready.

What have you done to your square lately??

I finally killed the TH350 last week. Time to upgrade so I picked a TH400 up this weekend to have built by a local guy. I only want to do this once so I'm trying to get rid of all the weak links in 1 shot. New driveshaft to be made with 1350 joints and maybe a new converter. Started today...

    Tire/wheel recommendations

Offset is usually described in metric too. Guess we could describe a 17x8 wheel as 43.18cm x 20.32cm

BBC 396 wil not idle with any carb

Your vacuum advance is still on ported if that's a picture from today. Bigger cam is gonna need extra idle timing. Air gap intakes idle like **** til they get some heat in them too.

BBC 396 wil not idle with any carb

Make sure you're plug wires are on in the right order. In the 1st pic you're choke isn't wired up so it's gonna flood fairly quick since its gonna stay fully closed. Looks like you're vacuum hose for the advance is hooked up to the metering block which is ported vacuum. Put it on manifold...

Exhaust pipe kits from @mazon/ eBay

I've used similar kits to build 3 different exhausts. One kit did almost 2 other than a few bends and straight pieces and then I bought the Pypes universal x kit for my square. I would step up to stainless or at least aluminized pipe. I like to weld most of it and put a couple of the accuseal...

    Huck's daily - 2005 Z71 crewcab

I've got a inner and outer set of setup bearings for the front. If it will help I'll throw in a flat rate box and you can send em back when you're done. I think all the half ton stuff is the same between OBS and NBS.

What have you done to your square lately??

I would experiment with 3 degrees more and see how it drives when weather clears. It should raise the idle speed and allow you to close up the throttle plates to lower the idle...giving you more transition fuel. Might wind up resetting mixture screws also. If its better but you get some knock...

What have you done to your square lately??

Will it rev clean in park/neutral? What converter and trans? Just my opinion but you're missing 3 or more degrees of timing with those heads

What have you done to your square lately??

Traded into a mechanical secondary carb with a broken spot where the stud threads in. Warmed up enough this afternoon to get everything cleaned/polished and swapped over to the new main body. Probably be my last project for a while

K5 K10 17x8 or 17x9 vision Cheyenne Aluminum rally wheels?

I'm sure these are the same and just a center cap sticker change made for Summit. They're showing in stock too https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-54n7883s0 As far as cost, you cant beat em at that price. I spent $300 EACH on 2 15x10 rallys about a year ago from Wheel Vintiques. I could've...
