    Fuel Smell

Alright need some ideas of where I'm getting a fuel smell from. When I come to a stop is when I get the strongest smell though I can smell it a bit while driving. I've found no signs of a leak. I've replaced all the rubber lines going to the tank and replaced both the filler neck and vent line...

    Oil Pan ID

Looking to see if anyone can ID this as a truck or car oil pan? All I know is they are from crate motors and for a 1 piece block. The one on my core engine is dented and I can grab one of these cheap if it will work for a truck.

    Steering box

Search Hector Carrillo on FB he rebuilds these boxes for a very reasonable price. He can also upgrade to a quick ratio of you want. Turn around was about a week. Ships in a USPS flat to save $$

    SBC Build Questions

When this upgrade does eventually happen I'm going to rebuild the trans. I happen to have a TCI Saturday Night Special TQ that I can use. Will it be a benefit to use it with the upgraded engine or should I stick with a stock replacement TQ? Right now the plan is the SUM-8800 cam with 1.6...

    SBC Build Questions

Thanks for the video. The heads were rebuilt with new springs but the gentleman doesn't remember anything about them because the customer supplied them. The roller block engine will be rebuilt with flat tops when I take it in. Right now gathering parts deals for that day.

    Marine Engine Questions

Here's a pic of the engine. Definitely vortec. Also would add probably the hooker y manifolds instead of regular headers.

    SBC Build Questions

Lookings at options to replace my 76 smogger. I picked up a TBI engine with the machining for a fuel pump and roller cam. If I build it the plan is flat tops/roller cam/different heads. Here's where I'm lost. Yes everyone says vortecs(which I agree to a point) Are there any difference between...

What new tools have you got lately?

I have no experience with them before. My other tap and die set is an older craftsman. But the HB set recut/cleaned up the 3/4" threads just fine in the lower control arm shaft.

What new tools have you got lately?

I buggered one of the lower control arm threads getting the old bushing out. So I needed to buy a new tap and die set as mine only went up to 1/2' Harbor Freight to save the day and pocket book. The set seems really well made. If I was needing to use these all the time I'd spend for a name brand...

What have you done to your square lately??

No budget for tubular control arms on this truck and for as much as I drive this one not needed. It will be a big improvement replacing original worn suspension and gearbox upgrade to quick ratio.

What have you done to your square lately??

Maybe we'll see. Front suspension on this beast first, oil pan gasket/rear main seal, probably a timing chain and looks like some brake fun too. Oh the joy hope to be done before memorial day.
