No I’m sorry. Use your original tank and what they call the “hanger”. Which is the lid of the tank that holds the pump and sending unit. Tanks inc has a pump that slides on. Also get their regulator. Their guys were mixed up on one of the fuel lines but I couldn’t believe how good they were...- Warthog44

One thing I didn’t tell you in the message is I used the stock truck headers. But I had corvette LT1 headers too and they hit something. But I really can’t remember. Like I said Alzheimer’s.... I guess? Btw. I made another shock adjustment and it was so successful I’m driving a lot...- Warthog44

That would have been a great idea but this is mostly a highway rig. It cruises at 85 really nice. Not much bumpsteer, but I do wish the spring rate in the front matched the rear. It feels like the front springs are a little harder than the rear. I did solve rear end issue. Just got a Moser...- Warthog44

Quick update.... 4500 miles on the new drivetrain. I couldn’t be happier. It ran great after the normal teething problems but oddly at about 3k miles it came “alive”. I ran 0-60 in 5.1 seconds. Pretty good for this big pig. But the inevitable happened to the rear end. Sent from my...- Warthog44

Driven around 1500 miles. Looks like I’m getting around 16mpg average. 22 highway. That’s up from 7.5 before. It really is nice. The power of the 6.2 on the lighter vehicle.... amazing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk- Warthog44

It started! Still need to adjust the transfer case shifter and will test drive tomorrow. These L86’s are LOUD without exhaust. Nothing like compression.- Warthog44

Progress Well it turns out I got the 8speed transmission. It was an Aligners mistake on the part of the seller and I got a good enough deal I just went with it. 12k as well since in this truck. Don’t know about history. Has a harder shift but that’s possibly in the program. I will also send the TCI controller for 500. I’m using the transfer case. You would have to find one. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk- Warthog44

Definitely low compression. Runs great on crappy gas. If it was ring I would think it would smoke. It puffs a little at startup which makes me think it could be a lifter? You want the 4l80 transmission? And I don’t know the boost. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk- Warthog44

I’ve looked hard but I bought it from a widow and she didn’t know anything. I’m estimating it made around 380 horse and it should be 500. I took the supercharger off and it dropped probable 40 horses and still got the same 8 mpg. The strange thing is that it ran perfect both ways. So the...- Warthog44

A company called Advanced adapters makes a plate to join my 4l80 transfer case to the 10 speed. I don’t have it yet to confirm it works or not. However, I don’t see any way I will be able to use the drive shafts. Btw.. I have a 383 engine with a holly throttle body coupled with a pro charger...- Warthog44

Anyone attempted this? Going to just go with stock tune in the tcm I guess. Got a 7500 mile L86 6.2 and found a kit to put 4L80 transfer case on this 10 speed. I know I’ll need new shafts. Wondering about mounting? Anyone else tried this?- Warthog44
