How to tell cabs apart
As far as I know the cab mounts are the same through all years 73-87. Major differences to consider. 2wd or 4wd? Transmission humps are different. Auto or manual? Manual has a shifter hole. Rust opinions
Go with a donor cab. There’s a lot of rust and I can almost guarantee you that it’s just the tip of the iceberg. If it was just rockers and floor pans I would say repair but the roof, cowl and pillars are rusting so I just see a can of worms as you start opening it up.- beaugranbois

Grill and bumper swap
I do prefer the stock grilles but you would have to switch to the dual headlights for the grille to look and align right. And I do prefer the dual headlights as well. But I believe the dual headlights uses a different radiator support than the single headlight. So you would basically have to...- beaugranbois

What is everyone's go to for converting rusty frames nice looking frames
POR is great. I’ve used it on a few frames. Nice finish, it does level out. But it doesn’t have any UV protectant in it and will fade in the sun. If your going to top coat it, spray on some primer before it dries and get a chemical bond because sanding it for the mechanical bond is near impossible.- beaugranbois

Looking to buy C10/K10....Need advice
If you look at the rosette rivet on the left side of that vin its loose and looks tampered with. Looks like there’s pry marks and the one side of the vin is hanging down. Vin plate are well secured so that doesn’t just happen. If it was me I would do more investigation or stay clear of it.- beaugranbois

It’s a bit hard to see but from the picture it looks like the trans tunnel is the short 2wd tunnel. Look at the tunnel where it meets the floor under the seat.
