I had to drop the gear from my 10 bolt front differential ('86 K10) to replace the inner axle seals.
Is it critical that the gear goes back in exactly as it was in relation to the pinion?
Or is it OK in a random position as long as I get free rotation?
I have a 1986 K-10 short bed (4.3L V6).
What are the torque specs for
1) the rear drive shaft, U-joint to differential bolts (two 2 bolt retainers)
2) the front drive shaft, four bolts to transfer case
Thanks.
I have an '86 K-10
I'm going through all the U-joints and such.
There are some seals on the outside of the spindles:
I don't need the spindle, just the rubber, but I can't find it listed.
Any idea what to call this set to find it somewhere?
Thanks
