    Champion radiator difficulties

    Had the same problem on my 87 GMC. I had to revamp the lower saddle mounts on the bottom then cut away the upper mount on the passenger to allow for clearance of the cap. After a few phone calls I found out that these radiators are just a bit different and require some mods to fit in.

    Got my aluminum hoop steps installed, cold day on the Boulder! Thinking tomorrow will be a good day to fire up and move outside so I can get to work on the head liner.

    Thanks for the picture, mine has 2 vac lines 1 big and 1 small which goes to the vac ball and the big one goes inside the cab. My cruise is disconnected so no worries on it working but just want the brakes to be good.I did hit the brake pedal hard a few times thinking of the proportioning...

    I got the headliner out of the truck for repair,repaint the trim plastic and new dome light set up. anyone done any upgrades to their dome light??

    I am getting a whooshing sound from under the dash when I step on the brakes, it goes away after i pump the peddle a few times. Any ideas?? 1987 GMC V2500.All the brakes are new with zero miles on them,new calipers and rear wheel cylinders as well as new master cylinder!

    no but its the light that plugs into the plastic cover on the floor with the boot and transfer case gear indicator

    Should i fix the TBI or go to carb? And what's this wire?

    I just rebuilt my TBI, first one I ever did,very simple and it fired right up! got a sensor or something giving me fits but overall it was a simple job.

    you might try replacing the belt,sometimes they get worn in to a certain pulley but start making noise with a new one

    Just rebuilt my TBI. fired right up but after a couple minutes the idle would drop then come back up? no codes to see maybe throttle position sensor? runs good other than the idle dropping the rising back to normal. Any ideas??thanks

    check your fuses,when the alternator died it may have taken a fuse with it!

    well the start up with the rebuilt throttle body is on hold while I clean up this bunch of new snow from yesterday! maybe tomorrow!!

    after the plowing got done and the snow blowing, I got the throttle body re installed on the truck- fingers crossed it works, no spare parts in the rebuild kit so i hope all is gonna be good. The new throttle cable was kinda stubborn but I won! start up will be tomorrow!

    today with it snowin like a bastard was rebuild the throttle body day!!tomorrow will be plowing and maybe install the new throttle cable and test the new pedal tension.

    sometimes they get an air lock, needs to be burped. they can be frustrating to get out. I have parked my rig with the nose uphill and sometimes that will work

    you should be good if you drain the radiator and pull the bottom hose off. might get a dribble in the lifter valley nothing you can't get with a rag or paper towels

    the spring is on the linkage side of the body and the brass spacer is where the other spring used to be!!
