I was chasing this fuel filter because of rough running. And it obviously was full of stuff. But, I must have an ignition issue. I don’t have the time right now to drive the truck much. I replaced the fuel filter and and it runs the same. On and off loss of power and I noticed it sometimes pops...- 410 John

I didn’t realize it wasn’t a trans mounted shifter. I thought only Vega/monza were like that. I’m sure I can make it mount to the trans.- 410 John

Yeah, my research has come up the same with the Indy. New shifters are $250-500 range. There are stock replacements for like a bench seat Nova that aren’t to expensive. Something will turn up. On average, used Hurst shifters are $200, without linkage. I’m aware of those multiple lever stock car...- 410 John

If I install a Saginaw car based 4 speed in my 83 C10. It’s a truck 4 speed now, with the granny first gear. What should I do for a shifter? I’m probably getting a used Saginaw from a buddy for $100. I’m not spending $500. I’m guessing a truck stiffer is mounted a little forward. I can make a...- 410 John

I put dry gas in my generator because it get rained on while running. I’ll have to put some in the truck. It has sat in my driveway since February and only registered a few months ago. I’ll cut it open.- 410 John

This my first tank of gas, since I don’t drive it that much. In the last 3 years it has had the engine replaced, bed off paint and body and the tank looks new. Here’s another pic. The lines are ribs in the filter. Hopefully not sugar. I don’t rule it out judging from the trucks origin and history.- 410 John

Yesterday I had what seemed like some fuel starvation issues. Any idea what this sediment is? There’s actually a lot more in there than the pic shows. I’m pretty sure the tank is new.- 410 John
