fluid change
More or less 4 quarts. My pan was distorted so I replaced it, fairly inexpensive. Also a good time to add a drain plug, no way out of making a mess!- Finkaire

85 vent windows

Original color was probably white, mine was. After considerable consideration I had it repainted white, probably single stage. Saw one painted the body color, didn’t look as good as the white, my opinion. Any other color combination would look as if it came off another truck. -
A/C Compressor
Drain the oil change the accumulator, and the orifice tube. The orifice tube often gets stuck, you might consider leaving it in there than to destroy it and still being unable to remove it. MOST important, use an ESTER oil. PAG oil is a corrosive and may take out the evaporator! My 2 cents LOL- Finkaire

1978 C15 Short Bed Step Side Leaf Spring Question
Ordered the truck with heavy duty springs. Forty years later I would like a little softer ride. Spring shop said they could level the truck and give it a softer ride by re-arching and maybe remove a leaf, came with 5. As for the front, the old springs would be softer than replacing them with new.- Finkaire

3” header back exhaust pipe kit for 2wd?
I just ordered tail pipes from Walker, sales were very helpful after I sent an information request. You might try them, couldn’t hurt. This is what they sent me, I was having trouble finding the double tailpipes out the side that came with the truck.- Finkaire

6 x 9 speaker mounting in door
Stock location for rear speakers are in the corners with the fronts in the dash. Im not sure about the kick panel application for the front but I think the 6x9’s might work best in the corners. Also if the door panels aren’t already butchered, to leave them alone IMHO PS. A subwoofer under the...- Finkaire

Muffler shops, radiator shops and carburetor shops, not a hole lot of them left. Two local muffler shops said they could or i could go on line…..i’ll find a shop- Finkaire
