    2wd’s were all short 35 spline. 4wd’s were either short 10 or long 32 spline, there are no 35 spline 4wd transmissions. Converting the trans would require 75% tear down assuming the parts you need from the old trans are good.

    Since we don’t know what kind of ‘78 or what kind of tcase, the best answer is IF it has a 32 spline input you MAY be able to adapt it. Nothing from a ‘78 anything will be a direct bolt up.

    You should have a 32 spline np205. A th400 would have been the automatic transmission offered in that truck, you will need the correct trans to tcase adapter to bolt it to your tcase. The real trick is getting a transmission with the correct length tailshaft as they are not all the same.

    I don’t have much of an interior to pimp. In fact, I only really have a dash (plus Silverado seats and bare floor that will eventually get bed lined). Autometer gauges, a Coverlay dash cover and LMC trim.

    Would front leaf springs bolt up?

    Yes, they are basically a direct fit. The only trick will be the bolt size at the rear eye of the spring, 89-91 squares used a larger bolt than previous years. All you have to do is drill the shackles bigger or buy aftermarket heavy duty shackles for the 89-91.

    Rocker boxes were only used until ’75, there was no need for the extra structure in the ‘76+ Blazers since they had half cabs.

    It’s a mix of 2-5/8” and 5” Autometer gauges. I used a hole saw and die grinder to open the stock holes to fit everything. I love the look of the Autometer gauges but it comes at a cost, their size doesn’t fit in the factory gauge housing so all that has to be scrapped. There’s nothing in my...

    Fittings don't necessarily have a hex to grab so they're probably smooth to grab the side "shoulders" of the fitting.

    No doubt, that is a D44 - NOT a D60. A D60 only has one u-bolt on the diff side, D60's do not use the 3 bolt horse shoe shaped steering arm and a D60 has a 4 bolt cap on the top & bottom of the steering knuckles, not a single nut.

    Probably. I believe it is however the D60 and D70 axles use the same cover and the D44 has the same shape it's just smaller so it can be hard to tell. Any other pics of the axle?

    Yes, the th400 was the only auto used in the square body 1 tons until ‘90 (‘91 used a 4l80e). Fyi, be sure to get the adapter between the trans and tcase if you’re using the th400. The crossmember only fits a 1 ton frame, it won’t work correctly on a 1/2 or 3/4 ton. Glad I could help!

    If it is a square body, yes but not a GMT 400 (both body styles were available in DRW 88-91).
