Sanderson BB8-P headers on a 454 in a crew cab dually

It might be hard to tell but there about 1/2” clearance between the collector and filter.

Sanderson BB8-P headers on a 454 in a crew cab dually

There’s good clearance. I’ll go take a pic in a few minutes.

Sanderson BB8-P headers on a 454 in a crew cab dually

I’m running BB8’s in my 91 Blazer, I had no clearance or fitment issues. I don’t have an oil cooler but I do run a 2qt oil filter (not the Fram in the pic) and have plenty of room, I also run a mini starter and a hydraulic clutch. I’m using Off Road Design comp motor mounts which are less bulky...

79-80 Dana 60 Front Axle brake parts

GM front D60's were only used in 1 tons so use a K30 as your application. For GM, front D60 parts are pretty much all the same. The original inner axles will have a necked down area whereas the '81+ are fat end to end, the length and spline are the same throughout.

What have you done to your square lately??

No great milestone for most folks but the last couple of months have been great for me, I’ve been driving the Blazer a bunch and entered it in a couple of car shows for sheets & giggles. I’m really enjoying it. As soon as I can get tires and new wood on my trailer I’ll drag it somewhere to play.

    Another vote of "no".

lowered c30 454 what headers to use

Sanderson makes really nice mid length headers that would work well on a lowered truck.

    Trailering your square body

@TotalyHucked makes a great point about trailer length vs what you're hauling. My trailer (pictured above) is 18' and it's had a Suburban (129" wheelbase) on it, it was full! With the fold up ramps locked in place (vertical) it seems like the back bumper was less than a foot away from them.

    Trailering your square body

I’ve towed my Blazer quite a bit, it’s not a 3/4 or 1 ton long bed but it’s pretty fat. With a big block, 4spd, Doubler, 1 tons and tires I feel like it’s over 5500 lbs , this combined with a 2800 lbs trailer and a full toolbox the whole thing has to be 9k. My Dodge sits high in the rear so I...

Replacement links for factory rear sway bar

1st gen Dodge 4wd's have a similar sway bar set up on the front, maybe check those links.

Replacement links for factory rear sway bar

Many moons ago I added a dually sway bar to my lifted SRW crew cab so the links didn't reach, this is what I used - - all thread the diameter of the hole in the sway bar - found some donut bushings on Energy Suspension's website - tubing to go over the all thread between the frame and lower...

Right on! Looking forward to this build. You already know I’m full of questions, are those pics of your dash or a parts donor?

I get it. The 203 isn’t the most loved tcase but when their healthy they’re good.

    NP 203 Married to a 4L85E

If you can find a crossmember from a pre ‘85 K30 you’d close up the gap between it and that adapter foot a lot. I gotta ask, why the 203? There’s obviously a pretty strong budget here so why not find a different / better tcase? Or are you intending to go with a 203/205 Doubler?

    Wiring--Engine Heat Protection

I’m not familiar with that type of wrap but wouldn’t the Velcro be plastic? If so, I’d think that would be vulnerable to heat. Regardless of wrapping, I’d definitely be doing something to get the wiring off the header. The heat sleeve I used was not split, it is a pita to install but worth it.

What new tools have you got lately?

@PrairieDrifter the 8 pc sets have stubbies that the 7 pcs don’t, I’m not sure which of the others is different. I have a screwdriver problem. lol

What new tools have you got lately?

@PrairieDrifter nice shopping spree! I wish they made 8 pc sets of hard handle screwdrivers pearl blue, they look great. (I've seen the 7 pc sets but I want to match my other 8 pc sets)

Parts stores sell straight pieces of tubing, I bent my own.

    Rock slider attachments

There are no tubing inserts going through the box, just long bolts with a backing plate on the opposite side. I haven't set mine down on the sliders yet to know if it would damage the boxes but I haven't read about it happening (I realize anything is possible).
