I would really like a turbo 400 in my truck

I bought my 32 spline output shaft for my 205 from Advanced Adapters. Comes with the bearing, (bigger OD in my application,) yours may have the bigger OD already, but check. They are great to deal with as well, been around for a long time, and great tech line and customer service.

    Replacing DVOM batteries

I have a fluke, stays in the shop, so seldom or never freezes in there but I work out there lots in the winter and heat it.

    Best Grease

I have a whole fleet of trucks, tractors, swathers etc, and use a moly based grease from Mobile, have never had a bearing fail. Like Perry said grease regular, I bought a milwaukee 12V grease gun with a four foot tube, an absolute lifesaver. Pretty hard to buy bad grease.

    More shop

Thanks Andrew and Zach, I can't hardly believe I live here either, it is beautiful. Good rain last night, so Jan and I spent all day cutting dead trees and burning junk wood, (nails, fencing). Feels good to get stuff cleaned up. We are taking part in an online auction which will help get red of...

I would really like a turbo 400 in my truck

The first gear ratio of a 700r4 is a steep 3.06, the TH400 and 350 are right at is 2.52, depending on where you get your info. 4L80e are relative cheap to buy, and upgrade. Friend with a 700r4 in a 650 horse gen 1 427 cost him over 4000. I have ridden in that car and did not like the big jump...

    More shop

Adding on to my shop for almost two weeks now, 85% done, but rain and snow for the next three days. Think I can get done by Sunday, the body is sore and tired. Installed over 800 screws on the roof and siding, legs and hands feel it. Will be nice to get my "stuff" under cover. Bolted to the...

    Dynamic compression

this does not look right. Is your piston -.015, (down) in the bore? Summit compression calculator has it right at 10:3. https://www.summitracing.com/newsandevents/calcsandtools/compression-calculator Did you assemble and do the measuring yourself? Ideally pistons should be zero deck to minus a...

Best Locker for 14Bolt FF in 85 K30

My 14ff has had a grizzly lunchbox locker in for several years. I live 21 miles (thankfully) from the nearest town, so mostly rural driving. I live in the foothills of the cascades and we get a fair amt of snow. I have no complaints with this system, works flawlessly, quiet, cannot tell anything...

    Passenger side axle stuck

I have a 20 lb slide hammer I made, the axle always comes out. I would not hammer on the axle. As stated previously by Squaredeal, get a long bar run it through the other side and push it out that way. the spider gears will guide it.

New For Me 1985 Silverado 20 6.2 Diesel

I am convinced that this truck has passed the reliability test. I drive it everywhere, handles and steers great with the new tires and alignment, it was out a bunch, back as well. It starts every time with the manual glow plug mod. It is cool, there for I to am cool by association, gotta...

New For Me 1985 Silverado 20 6.2 Diesel

Alignment done, new tires on, smooth and goes down the road so nice. Mileage is about 24.5 mpg. Serviced the trans and rearend, parts from rock auto, everything fit. Will pack front wheel bearings and that completes the service on the C20. Few pic up on the rack, you can see how nice that raptor...
