I just bought a John Deere tractor!
This is my gal as we were on the highest point (locally) that I could carry her so that I could propose marriage to her. Uwharrie National Forest outside of Troy, NC. In the background you'll see my old "rock-rig"; 78 K5 with CUCV axles, 37x12.50 GY OZ's, 350 engine with TH350/NP205. Mr & Mrs...- Strick

Well...she is my wife and it was the tractor that her dad restored so...when she said that her brother had no means for it then she asked about buying it actually. My gal, she's #1! She loves that hot rods and four wheeling stuff. HS- Strick

Front posi-traction differential
I'm putting a locker in a 10 bolt soon. It's 4.56 & locked on the tail & It's only gonna be 35's on the truck, as well as just a toy. I'm not doing a daily & commuting with it either. Some of the M10XX trucks came locked on the front Dana 60. HS- Strick

Roof lights
That looks to be a hole-saw job there. I don't see a flange where the u-nut goes for the fastener either. The "chicken" lights can go on any C/K; I've got a half ton Sub with them now as well as two 30 series trucks. HS- Strick

The end of the frame horns are made slightly different between the 73-80 & 81-87 trucks. The lateral frame brace that fastens to the bumper is definitely different. Looks like the bolts are missing from yours. You may have to modify those to make fit; some of these other members may can help you...- Strick

You have the headlamp surrounds for a 79-80 truck. The bumper is from an 83-87. 81-82 are similar but have the parking lamps in the bumper instead of the grille or beneath the headlamp. HS- Strick

What have you done to your square lately??
I did some cleaning & arranging in the shop today. I had a mountain of wheels & tires in the way the past couple weeks so I decided to carry my half-crippled self & install them on my next project. Recuperating from a heart attack 9 months ago & neck surgery 9 weeks ago...I didn't do too bad... -

Yeah, Godwin is just off exit 73 & Paul Jr (PJ's) truck bodies are on exit 77. PJ is Pat's SIL. They have quite the enterprise around here. HS -
