stock front drive shaft and lift

You'll be fine with a 4" & may get away with 6". I just put a 6" on my '87 & used the stock shafts. The splines aren't showing up front & there's a shiny ring on the rear yoke where it's pulled out a bit. Should be alright as long as you're not hard-core wheeling. HS

What have you done to your square lately??

I'm going with solid paint on this one, no two-tone. It was 29 Dark Blue and the paint was horrible. It has a respray at some point with what I think was synthetic enamel. I've had to cut this thing down with 40 grit on the DA along with paint remover chemical. It has still been a chore to...

    Front driveshaft - longer on a NP203 vs NP205 ? Same mount ?

Is it a Dana 60 truck? I know that doubling the cases makes for the length difference but I've never had to replace the front driveshaft when doing the 203/205 swap. It was only the rear that has been different. 60 housings are much bigger and may take a shorter driveshaft if no lift is...

What have you done to your square lately??

The filler neck ground attaches to the bed cross-rail. I'll get you more photos tomorrow when back at work. I'll post them here on this thread. HS

What have you done to your square lately??

I'm away from it now. I believe that the ground is in the harness & has an eyelet on the crossmember. There's another ground at the filler neck. I'll look again & get you another pic to clarify. HS

What have you done to your square lately??

I'll get you some pics of the fuel sender here in a few minutes. I'll just post them on this thread instead of DM. * If the 14FF is from a 20 it should bolt directly in. If it's from a 30 the spring pads and shock mounts are different. Give it a spy before diving in. HS

What have you done to your square lately??

Yes sir @Redfish, that is an '87. It doesn't look as good as that cream puff of yours though. I'm getting there though. Is there someone needing pics of the sender or taillamp harness while I have it apart? Let me know if so and I'll get some. HS

    New paint gun

Thank you sir. I wish that I had a paint booth, an Iwata or Sata Jet sprayer and most of all I wish I had more energy to fix all the Squares and F's in my yard! I'm thankful that I have some students that are interested in helping and have a desire to do hands on work with any automobile...

What have you done to your square lately??

What I love about Carter/Edelbrock carbs: bolt on & drive them‐where ever you want. What I hate: spinning over of the engine after sitting for a spell. I have 4 Edelbrock Squares if you want to know.

    Front driveshaft - longer on a NP203 vs NP205 ? Same mount ?

The front shaft should be the same length for an NP205 or NP203. The rear shaft will be shorter on an NP203 because the case length is longer. I definitely would keep the NP205 & get shafts to accommodate for the lift. SM465/NP205 are the best combo hands down. HS

81-83 vs 84-87 Cab Mount Question

My apologies for the late response. The bushings are rubber and appear to be good quality. I put them on the shelf for an up-coming project. I'll let you know how they work out. HS
