    700R4 TCC Lockup Issues

I'm currently driving a 700r4 with hot wire to lockup solenoid on a switch. it will lockup in 2nd 3rd and 4th. I usually just use it on overdrive once I'm up to speed and I will use it in whatever gear I want to hold. I plan to put in some pressure switches and wire it up to have it setup more...

    Trucks running werid

On my first truck had 350 in it when i was 14. it would pop through intake I think. when you stabbed the throttle to make it (go now!) It would always cough. I messed with timing and carb but couldn't make it go away. My dad suggested bad cam? He was right. 3 or 4 barely had anything left to...

    Mileage question/opinion

First off This is a sweet truck! Congrats on your retirement. Was it mainly used for the office? It's in really good shape like not all banged up and I know you said you did allot to get it this clean but it's original paint right? probably driven in town. How does the engine feel, is it strong...

Let's see those 4x4 Squares On Dirt!

Could hide a receiver behind bumper/ license plate and put winch in when needed. Maybe keep it in the bed till you need it? Or would that defeat the purpose for what you want?

    1989 Chevy K1500

I like your 89 allot man! On the gmt 400 doors there dang heavy. The hinge brackets are welded in. On our 99 I fixed the sloppy pin hole by adding material slowly with a mig only adding where it was lost. Git it close but too tight to pound in. Heated the hole orange hot then pounded old pin...

    Welding on Strut housings

I've once welded a broken strut. Car was from Minnesota probably lol. I was a bit shy to do it but I had a garden hose and welded a little bit then quickly cooled it down each time

    Edelbrock accelerator pump

I can see how your balancer looks stepped out a little but not too much. It's still under the marker. Is your crankshaft bolt tight?

    Dana 44 front axle issues

you mentioned previously that you had no problems with the 10 bolt axles. If you have one of those you can put all your 44 knuckle and outer stuff on the 10 bolt housing.

    Dana 44 front axle issues

I'm in a similar boat for my wheeler. Front Dana 44 welded up for years doing good, Broken everything possible one time or another. I have the big hubs and yes they go loose and break allot lol. Recently broke long shaft again and cracked my carrier. Can't afford a 60 so I'm just going to build...

    Fluid Changes

10w30, 30wt, 15w40, 20/50 oil, depending on application and temperature for these engines. Maybe try a couple. My friends 75 ford 360 runs better on 30wt than on 10w30. That might sound like bs but it's true. Switching to 30 actually made a difference in the way the engine sounded and it's...

    Trucks running werid

Side story lol, Interesting you mentioned low compression 350. I once worked on a 78 c50 and the engine cranking over sounded dead like no compression and would spin over with the starter like plugs were removed but it always started and ran good lol.

    Edelbrock accelerator pump

Have you checked vacuum advance pod? Is it working? Does the carb have proper vacuum to that port for vacuum advance?

    Edelbrock accelerator pump

Im with @Ricko1966, Was running good before. Must be in your carb since you ruled out ignition by swapping parts. Changing ignition timing would be a bandaid.

    Edelbrock accelerator pump

If you find true TDC you can make your own line. I've done that before so I can see what the timing is at. I usually time by ear till it runs the best without a ping.
