    Cylinders washed need help

......and Holley remedied that a long time ago with a checkball in the baseplate. Welcome to the early 90's lol. Of course we couldn't have a carb thread without the quadrajet being brought up. Let me see if I can remember how it goes -tuned for your engine! -engineers are smart! -GM updates...

    Cylinders washed need help

Power valves richen the main circuit, so unless your idling at 2500 rpm and the boosters are flowing a power valve doesn't affect idle. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/c3-tech-performance/3617677-test-results-will-an-open-holley-power-valve-affect-engine-idle.html If the valve is blown or...

    Cylinders washed need help

Change the oil if you're concerned. From the specs in your other thread it's probably gonna want a lot of idle timing. Make sure the vacuum advance is hooked to manifold vacuum. I square up the transfer slot and adjust idle speed with the rear secondary screw from underneath. Sometimes it's...

The castings might be. But they're assembled in Bowling Green

    T-tops for C10

Don't they have enough wind noise in the cab?

Holley street warrior 600cfm for sbc 355?

Still has the gold zinc linkage so it's old stock and probably has the good choke too.

Holley street warrior 600cfm for sbc 355?

That one had the old style choke that works like they're supposed to. Sometime in the last couple years they have switched to the cheap ones.

Holley street warrior 600cfm for sbc 355?

For a daily driver the electric chokes on that line of carbs suck. Quick Fuels use the same and i think the Brawler line does too. They eliminated the vacuum chamber and mechanism that cracks the choke plate open when it fires and just notched the choke plate instead. They got rid of the vent...

ANYONE USED VORTEC HIGH SWIRL HEADS ON THEIR GEN-I SBC?

Overlap (duration+LSA) has the most affect on vacuum and idle quality than lift. Just an example but my daily has the LT4 hotcam and has 15" of vacuum at an 800 RPM idle. Kind of off topic but if you're gonna leave the tiny stock cam in there don't expect much from heads alone. Depends on how...

ANYONE USED VORTEC HIGH SWIRL HEADS ON THEIR GEN-I SBC?

And the lift limitations are easy to fix with Comp 787 retainers and 648 locks. LS6 beehives spring or their replacements Comp 915, 918. GM does the same on the 604 crates. Or Alex's parts drop in kits. He's got 3 depending on cam...

    Rochester Quadrajet Woes

And some don't realize that not everybody's engine is a stock 305/350/454 that these trucks came with so factory tuning or what GM used doesn't apply or matter in the end Application, application, application

What have you done to your square lately??

Yeah everything in the cab stayed the same. More or less just deleting the evap box and drier under the hood. Any unused wires outside got cut, heatshrink and taped back in the harness. I did have to drill the replacement peice for the mounting holes and make my own hole for the resistor...

What have you done to your square lately??

This just uses all the original AC heater core and blower motor that you have already if its in good condition. The non AC box is more compact and does look better though.

What have you done to your square lately??

Just throwing it out there but I cheated and used the fiberglass cover that's made to bolt right in place of the AC box. Ordered it from classicindustries but I think the company is Acdelete.com or something like that.

If you read he asked specifically about the AVS2 that you don't own. Not what YOU like or are gonna do . The standard performers don't have annular boosters or an adjustment for the secondary. Facts.

    Gas hog

I've had one on my non squarebody daily for 5 or 6 years. Hit the pedal twice, start it and drive away. I've had to adjust the choke and idle mixture screws, change to the pink stepup springs. The secondary is adjustable unlike the standard/AFB carb and has annular boosters. They are somewhat...

    CARBURETOR DATED

It's heat soak and the ethanol gas. Get the Edelbrock 4 hole phenolic spacer. It comes with new gaskets and studs. The metal braided hose/cover on the fuel line and filter location isn't doing you any favors either. Truck looks good. What size rear tire is that?
