Woodgrain v. Brushed Aluminium
I hate that wood grain texture. xD I think after seeing them all that I'm going to go with the brushed aluminium. Seems like I can't go too wrong if I do that. EDIT: I understand there's 3 different textures of wood grain? Anybody know anything about that? -

I think the black looks too modern and bland. The aluminium would look bad too, but I love the old west/saloon trim around the inserts that really bring out the classy look of the design. I'm not sure how I'd like the wood trimmed in that. -

Show some pics if you got them, bucket. I didn't know that woodgrain was for '77 models though. I guess if I wanted to be accurate, I should definitely go for brush aluminium, but I just don't know. Weighing my options here. And Chengny, that's awesome to see! -

I can see that. I just remember seeing a 1979 Dodge Power Ram - Palomino edition and it look really snazzy with the wood grain. Iunno, not sure what it'd look like in the 77-80 interiors though. Brushed probably does look the best, but not ruling out wood grain just yet. -

I seemed to notice that, Towjoe. 77-79 grilles are almost impossible to find. But does anyone know if the actual emblem on the 1980 grille is replaceable like the 77-79 is? I know in LMC truck, the bowtie they sell seems to only go from 75-79, and it's the same that was on my original 78 grille... -

Well bucket, shoot me a price and I might can match. Sadly all the old school pick-em-up trucks and vans around here are salvaged for scrap or the junkyards that DO have them aren't pull-a-parts and are ran by raging assholes. If I lived near Charlotte, I would have a much better chance... -

Yeah, seems GMC got almost all the cool limited edition 4x4s with the retro paint schemes. Only on the 70s trucks would you see this though. Haha. It's a beaut. No-one that I've showed likes it though. lol -
