    Agreed with the 12 bolt. The G80 got its nickname from hardcore wheelers.. For everyday driving and occasional light off road use they are decent, Especially if you find a SF14 with a G80 code.

    Not really what i was talking about. I was referring to pouring a quart of ATF down the carb or throttle body when its running. it breaks up carbon in the motor. Smokes a bit but seems to do wonders, That and I add a gallon of diesel to my fuel every 6 months or so when the tank is near...

    So your buddy is refusing to take anyresponsibility for this? how do we know he didnt move a wire when looking under the hood to cause this. Again if you dont know a lot about vehicels , have a mechanic look over it. Your buddy is the responsible party here. Buyer beware when you buy a $2300...

    Keep an extinguisher in the vehicle. Doesnt mena you can fight fire, But a small brake fire should have been easy to put out.

    I would hit the salvage yards and find a 10 bolt with G80 rpo and the gears you want. Much cheaper. GM 10 bolts sell everyday for $100 used.

    I would like to see that proof as well. I have used it in all 3 ways. Best use I have found is during an oil change. For internal carbon in the motor I still use ATF or a little diesel. But I have never heard of seafoam damaging anything.

    15inch 6 lug wheels are the big indicator its a 1500 half ton truck. Smart move to pass on that truck.

    Its been done many times. you just have to cut the bed down to where the frnder wells start at the back of the cab. Bed will be so short it will be useless, and they look pretty hacked uo with the rear wheel right behind the rear door. FYI the 91 is a square, the one in my avater was a 91. 1...

    Your buddy now owns a $2300 burnt up paperweight. This is why I tell people, if you are not a mechanic take any prospective vehicle to a mechanic to get it checked out prior to buying it. An expensive esson.

    You can make these for drums as well. just need access to a lathe and mill. I did it years ago on my 93 GMC. I didnt buy any parts, just made them fit. Would have saved alot of work to go this route.

    body lift helps But the center hump is the right way to go. I had to weld in the center hump in the crew in my signature. Took about 30 minutes. better than body lift.

    What part of texas? How much powr will you be Running? 2wd or 4wd? SBC or BBC motor? I have several adn can build them for 500 HP pretty easy.
