    Thanks Bucket..i"ll give some more thought and go from there. Idahovette, nothing was wrong with it.     Just replaced the old PITA 7 quart pan with a 5 quart Milodon. Question is will the factory coating resist corrosion or should I plan on painting it?

    Engine stand block mounting

    With my BBC on a 3 wheeled stand it is top heavy. As already said grease the pivot real well and, to increase my control, I use a large crescent wrench on the arms. Always keep that locking pin REAL handy!
