    Why replace it? All you need to do is clean up and paint the inside of the plastic housing and upgrade the light bulbs. People don't think of these things and they are using 40 year old light bulbs and wonder why they can't see anything.

    I'm not sure if they would be the same as what I have but if you look up my build thread you can see pictures of how I mounted the buckets into my truck. It took a few pairs of bench seat brackets and some fabricating.

    What Rich is getting at is that you have a cam that starts to make torque around the 2000rpm mark. With our trucks being so heavy you want all the torque you can put to the wheels right from the get go. If your looking for a torque monster you'll never be spinning the truck to 6,000rpm but...

    If it is leaking you should be more concerned about the shape of the tubes and if there is anything bent.

    What do you currently have for gears in the rear? You say they are too high... High gears would be like 3.08 gearing

    Caster lift you say? Well truth be told I've rebuilt the entire front end of my truck and put in a 4" lift... And yet to do a alignment LOL. I know I know needs to be done but perhaps the same could apply to the OP.

    Drag link does not need to be parallel to the ground but it should be pretty close. With that said even my truck does this and I'm not sure why myself. I recently put a 4" lift into my truck and I'm using a raised steering arm and when I turn left or right without moving I can see the truck...

    Rebuilding a transmission is a job not for faint of heart. Requires a lot attention and special tools. Look at the bottom of the pan to determine what transmission you have.

    Yup I changed fluid and new filter and nothing changed. From what I've read internal seals start to fail and it doesn't hold fluid. Some people say you can use brake fluid mixed in to help swell the seals but its just a temporary fix.

    Transmission is going to need a rebuild soon. Mine is doing this as well and usually means something internal is worn out.

    Are you using the original points wire? Because it will not feed full 12v to the distributor. The points wire is meant to only give 7-8v on startup.

    Use what you can and if you can't fit the t-handles then just use a normal bolt with the spread and just hand tighten.

    Yes and yes. Its what I put on my truck and haven't a single problem. The bolt holes have little metal circles so you can't over tighten them either.

    LOL the price tag for something like that would be crazy. I wouldn't expect anything less than 10k for that truck and probably even higher.

    If you have perimeter bolt valve covers get yourself some felpro blue gaskets. Then get some spread bars and t-handle bolts. After you've done that if your valve covers are warped fix them. Find a flat edge and clean up the edges. Then use acetone and clean up the surfaces on the head and valve...

    Uh... bolting a 4wd kit? You can't just "bolt" a 4wd kit to a 2wd frame. Much more involved.
