    Wheel hop

    Axle hop is common enough once you reach a certain power level and have a stock suspension. Your leafs are winding up and snapping back. Look into a pinion snubber or traction bars.

    The pinion gear has on an 8.5" rear is 30 spline. That might be what's throwing you off. Lots of sites list that spec as well

    You'll cut some time off your 60' if you can get it to hook up. 3.55s are not very steep for such a heavy truck either. In a perfect world I don't think you'll have the torque to pull any better than a 1.85-1.80 60'. I'd put in 4.11s especially with the overdrive.

    The ecm controls the lock up. The converter unlocks once the brake pedal is pushed with the cruise on or off.

    You need to determine a few things here. First figure out the total timing not just the initial. Pull the vacuum advance and see how much mechanical advance you're getting. Pull a plug and report back. Do you have a carb kit? What is the rest of the combo?

    unplug the bulkhead connecter at the firewall. Test for continuity on that circuit between the socket and connecter.

    The only wires going into a 700r4 would be for the torque converter clutch and the vss if it's an electric speedo. The cruise control wouldn't have anything to do with the trans.

    The best bang for the buck in electric fans is the late model crown vic fan. Put a Google study out on it. It's available in the aftermarket and moves a ton of cfm. those boys in blue don't like to be warm....

    It's a manual transfer case. That was pretty easy. I still had to power the front axle encoder motor. That was pretty easy.
