    I'm assuming that you want me tO try and test the knock sensor? I replaced that a week and a half ago. Also I can't get it to idle with the wire plugged in anymore. I tested the tPs at the same time I did the map and it tested good but will test again this afternoon.

    What would the symptoms be of a bad spark control module? If the ECM was bad the injectors wouldn't be spraying right?

    shouldnt i move it clock wise to retard it? i have already tried it where it was all the way to the right on the tab thats attatched to the timing cover.

    it is at the 2nd notch from the left on the plate that is attatched to the timing cover that shows the timing and i just replaced the timing chain that probably hasnt run for more than an hour

    I know that I was talking about something different. I would think that if one of those parts were bent that the tv cable Adjustment would compensate for it.

    i did replace the entire distributer(cap, roter, etc) before the map sensor problem was discovered. just checked the wires and they are in the right place.

    it was 180 out when i first stabbed it but im am sure that it is in the right possition because i pulled the #1 plug and felt for the comppression to blow my finger off the hole and the timing mark at the right location. when the timing chain slipped it was back firing out the throttle body...

    yeah I had to give it gas at first to get it to idle then it was at idle when i tested it.
