What is your square body dream truck?

I hope this isn't the direction this forum is going....................

I am looking for pictures of trucks with minimal lift for a large tire

This truck has 4" of lift but with no engine or tranny/t-case it's ridin' a little high. I'd guess 5.5"-6" in the front, rear is probly just 4". Tires are bald-ass 39.5" Boggers... As you can see here if you did much more than drive to Dairy Queen and rev your motor at the hotties along...

I am looking for pictures of trucks with minimal lift for a large tire

I agree the look is definetly beefy but remember that once offroad everything changes. If the suspension can flex more than your fenders can accomadate then you'll end up with munched sheet metal. I'll go out and snap a pic of one of my trucks that is sitting on "rollies" that are pretty big...

What is your square body dream truck?

I looked at that and went....hmmmmmmm, do I really want to get into this......? I just had a kid wanting to trade for my xtra short-wide box. I told him to get me a divorced 205 transfercase and we'd talk. "They never made a divorced 205" .........grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I didn't know you...

What is your square body dream truck?

I hear ya there man, here in Oregon we used to enjoy epic offroading oppertunity but lately the woods have been getting closed down, suposedly because of offroaders tearing shit up but who knows. As of right this second I couldn't tell you one place that would be legal to offroad except private...

What is your square body dream truck?

Careful.....pretty soon this is gonna turn out like Pirate and I'll have to leave. I kinda like it here. Put twin turbos, twin superchargers, and twin nitrous setups on twin engines and throw it in your truck, if thats what your dream is then go for it! I won't judge any more than I will if...

What is your square body dream truck?

"Dream truck" kinda opens up the possibilities of things like "twin charging" a V8, don't it? lol Goths dream truck: a '73-'75 or so crew cab with some kinda crazy Grave Digger-esque monster truck paint job, lots of tubing everywhere, Duramax with an auto and ALL the fixin's, well insulated...

    Springs vs Blocks

I'm nearly done with my 3/4 ton swap, the second K5 I've done this to, and its super simple. I got these axles out of an early '77 truck(they still used the D44 & Corp 14 bolt full floater axles til sometime in mid '77 when they switched to 10 bolt front, and somewhere along the line after that...

Anyone have any info/pics on stripping & painting dash?

I saw them put one of those on in Truckin' magazine(I think it was that one...). Turned out pretty good if I remember correctly. -John

    Gen III swap??

Go on youtube and search for this title: 1969 Chevy C10 Stepside "Copperhead" Walkaround and Test Drive He don't really get on it or anything(& I know this isn't a square body) but once I saw how nice that install went I wanted to do it myself! Clean truck! -John

    Headers or not

I have headers on both my trucks, I dunno, headers just seem to be a hot-rod requirement lmao. My take on them is that they sound better(kinda a tinny "header" sound),they look WAY better, and they do make more power. I think it makes a nicer/easier start for a new exaust. I used the cheap-o...

Anyone have any info/pics on stripping & painting dash?

^^^that looks sweet dude^^^ My dash is cracked bad though. I'm starting to think the guy must have 'glassed it cause it looked nice and smooth and really good. Either way I have a parts truck with a cracked dash too so I think I'll strip it & see for myself lol When I get to it I'll post pics...

    Springs vs Blocks

I traded for my "8 inch" lift and the guy didn't know who made it either. After cleaning off the dirt I saw a PN. 15 seconds on Google and I found it to be a Pro-Comp 6" spring set. Might work for you if you can find a number... -John

    2bbl on a 454?

I vote keep the Edelbrock you got. Sounds like its working fine lol Isn't it that the electric choke Edelbrocks are tuned more for economy and the mech choke ones are more for performance? -John

    Springs vs Blocks

I have 5 1/2" blocks in the back of my K5. Never had a problem, but I'm gonna make a traction bar setup for it anyways. When I was looking at lifts the best place by far as far as pricing is Ebay. Just search "73-87 chevy 4" lift" and it should pop up with a bunch of Ebay stores selling them...

    2bbl on a 454?

I dunno, I think people rely too much on internet CFM calculators now-a-days. Sure, a 600 will work good on a stock 454, and probly increase the throttle response, but it should love a 750 as well. I really think a 2bbl would limit rpm. FWIW- Irishman is right, Q jets are 750cfm(800cfm one...
