    in 80 sometime they went with a 6.5 inch output shaft versus the 5.5 output shaft.when the 400 was put behind 205 or 203,it was the 5.5, the 208 was the 6.5 version.

    usually order my kits off from carbjunkey,either website or eBay store.that way i get brass floats and ethanol resistant components.number on drivers side of carb,stamp vertically on back side of carb.

    have heard you can clean area like that with clr,the household cleaner and delimer stuff, and it will remove the rust from the paint.
