Here is a pic of before and after cutting front coils.

    Lowering truck, already level?

If all you want is basically a 2/2 drop, you can do it on the cheap with just cutting one round off the bottom of the front coil springs which will net a 2-2.5in drop and a 2in drop shackles in the rear. If you decide to go with drop spindles I would recommend a 2.5in drop spindle from CPP with...

Its a breather/vent tube to your gas tank. Seen trucks with and without it hooked up.

    Lowering truck, already level?

These trucks have a 2in rake from the factory so thats why most kits are 2/4, 3/5, and 4/6in drops so the truck will sit level after install. If you are measuring the wheel arches to determine if you truck is level it will mislead you as the rear arches are lower than the front. You need to...

need advice in gas gauges in blue truck

My stock gauge did the same thing and when I replaced it with a tach/fuel gauge combo the fuel gauge started working correctly. My bet would be the gauge or gauge connection in the cluster.

    ac cab/no ac cab?

Yes, the holes in the firewall are different and non-a/c cabs have an extra fresh air vent on the drivers side kick panel.

    Very odd blower motor problem

I had a similar problem with my fan a couple of weeks ago. Everything checked out fine, even the fuse was good. Come to find out the clips that hold the fuse(glass type) in place was a little corroded. Cleaned the clips and put in a new fuse....BAM! fixed.

    Question about gauges

Wrong. Sending units for gauges are different than warning lights.

    Question about gauges

You can BUT it will require repining the gauge cluster plug and changing sending units...that info I dont have. You can put aftermarket gauges in those holes and wire them separately from the gauge cluster plug.

Right rear locking up long before other brakes applied..

The only thing I can think of is the left wheel cylinder might be slightly corroded just enough to not give adequate pressure to the shoes and forcing the excess pressure to the right side. Just a guess.

You have to change the rotor, caliper, inner bearings, and seal.

    Spindle problems djm 3" drop

Well my best guess from the pic and description is your truck has 1.25in rotors and the DJM spindles are for 1in rotors. If that is the case you have two choices, get the correct drop spindles or convert your brakes to 1in rotors.

what did this axle come out of?

Looks like a typical 73-87 spring pad and shock mount set up. 12 bolts were no longer available after 81, 6 lug indicate 4wd. Springs in the carrier indicate posi. My bet is 73-81 4wd.

    3/4 Drop - wheel fitment

No problem. Here's another tid-bit of info fyi....a 3.5/5in drop is less work (in the rear) than a 2/4in drop.

    3/4 Drop - wheel fitment

If your using 10's on front and rear you cant tuck the front. You need 5in bs in the rear to tuck but you cant go more than 4in bs in the front or your wheel won't fit. I will suggest a better wheel tire combo. 15x8 with 4in bs 245/60/15 or 255/60/15 tires 15x10 with 5in bs 295/50/15 or...

1978 c10 rear flip kit question

The difference in a 5in to a 6in drop is the spring thickness, its the same drop wether you use a flip bracket or new spring perch.

1978 c10 rear flip kit question

The one on top is way better. The flip bracket is gusseted and has a u-bolt plate that has additional holes for the leaf spring center pin to keep the u-bolts better aligned.

    Smaller alternator pulley

I just had the same problem with my 78, the alt that was on it had a large pulley and wouldn't charge at idle. I just bought a stock replacement with a smaller pulley and works fine now. I didnt notice what the amp output was on either one though.

    un molested wireing

Last month I went through my 78, It had an aftermarket a/c system installed in it, an aux fuel tank with an electric fuel selector valve, and a homemade hitch out back with a 5 pin plug wired in. I removed every bit of those add ons and was totally surprised that the one and only cut factory...
