Stupid, difficult electrical failure solved
thanks for that info, thats just what i was looking for ... my blower doesnt turn on at all, the blower motor looks new, maybe it was never hooked up after it was replaced? the fuse under the dash was blown, still not working after i put a new fuse in. guess ill try to fix it this weekend when i... -
Blower motor!
i get nothing when i turn my blower on, nothing . i looked under the dash and the fuse was blown, ok cool i thought... replaced the fuse, still nothing. smh ... theres a big red wire that looks rigged going up under the dash and to the hi/lo switch, but the other end just goes into the engine...- 79K10

help me diagnose this clunking noise
i had a bad water pump that made a clunking noise kinda how you described, try pulling the belt off the water pump for a min, then start it and see if you still hear it... or maybe its a bad throw out bearing, same clunking type of noise ... i had to back my sm465 away from the motor to change...- 79K10

Engine intermittently dies and runs rough.
did you say you had to floor it to get it to fire up again? mine did that, tapped the carb with a LFH and knocked it loose, ran great again after that ... i had a similar electrical issue and i found my positive battery wire had hooked up with a header and started cooking the wires a little...- 79K10

305 header help
I ran long tubes on my 79, the collectors were really close to the front leaf and i would hear a little tapping every once in a while (till i beat it with a BFH) besides that no problems- 79K10

What have you done to your square lately??
did my brake pads and replaced the broken old shocks the shocks didnt come with a new lower nut or bolt. wtf? -

Brake caliper
ok, figured it out, it was something small... those two little sleeves that the allen bolts go through were sticking out and stopping me from pushing the caliper in... pushed those out the way and it slid right it, then i used some needle nose pliers to pull the inside pad back up so i could... -

looks like ill be hitting the pick and pull this weekend for some brackets ... now if i could just get the damn caliper back on ... does that piece at the top that the caliper slides into unbolt? im stuck ... -

looks like i can either drill new holes (the buckets had 4 new holes drilled) or take the bracket off... i was thinking about swapping brackets, the seat sits a little too high for me. my serious problem right now is the damn front caliper wont go back on... i dont remember... -

ive been checking out all the threads on seat swaps... i liked the one where he cut the floor and welded on sheet metal, but i dont have a welder... is maybe finding donor brackets from the pick and pull my best bet?
