could be a headwind/tailwind situation too, with a little extra effort to move the truck into the wind, the parameters may not be right for locking the converter.- GreaseDog

no, if you sjoked the trans, the converter is junk, unless you can find someone to cut it in half, clean all of the clutch material out of it, weld it back together straight and true, and balance it. 73-80 frame body mounts
I had been holding onto them for my 77k20 in case I needed them.i have a complete 73-80 frame stub in the shed, plus the hours mounts I uncovered when ki rolled the cab off of my 80 last night. -

Blow the rivets off clean and a handfull of 3/8" bolts will drop right in the holes. -

Best budget ideas for carb to TBI swap?
There are several companies who know their way around a tbi system and can give you a good baseline tune just by telling them your combo. Tbichips and wait4me are the two that come to mind... I will be using wait4me for the tune on my daily driver 94 k1500. Its got a stock replacement vortec 350...- GreaseDog
