    !!!!Need Np208 transfer case!!!!

Looking at that pic it looks like all the welds are full of contamination. So it will have to be redone or keep an eye out for another case. :sorry:

    !!!!Need Np208 transfer case!!!!

My apologies. The reason why welding cast aluminum usually fails is because the action of welding will draw in dirt and contamination from the pitted surface of the cast material surrounding the weld site. I guess there is a simple way around this problem. You simply need to get rid of the...

Why don't you swap everything onto this frame?

    Bumper & Frame Issue

Ya ok good catch Jerry. I circled in red the area that really shows that something is up. But if you notice from those 2 pictures, there seems to be about an 1" difference in the gap between the frame and the rad support. This is what is giving you greif with your bumper not lining up...

    Bumper & Frame Issue

At any rate if you install new body bushings and install a straight bumper the bumper will line up with the body. I can tell from the pictures that your suspension is not even all the way around. You'll just be chasing your tail unless you install new quality leafs on all 4 corners.

    Need help!

Ya maybe it will work but if that's the route you end up going, Its gonna be a lot of work to change them out! probably gonna need at least a couple flats of motivational fluids lol. Getting at those rivets up there is gonna be a real PITA.

    Bumper & Frame Issue

Ya so replace the body bushings, then get a new non bent front bumper and things will start to line up! Im almost positive that your frame is NOT bent!

    Bumper & Frame Issue

Ok. So your measuring from the ground to the frame horn. The problem is that any variation from side to side in the suspension and or tires and or bushings and or wheel bearings. will affect that measurement from the ground. The rear suspension will affect it as much as well. So by measuring...

Your just in denial that you need new body bushings! LOL

    Bumper & Frame Issue

Dude! You have nothing to say that your frame is bent. All you have shown is that your suspension and body is not even with the frame. So how do you expect to have your bumper line up with the body when the body doesn't line up with the frame because the bushings are shot?

    Bumper & Frame Issue

Actually it looks like that whole side is dropped down all the ways from the front bumper to the cab corner.

    Need help!

Im with George. Drill a hole at the end of the crack, to stop the crack from spreading any further, and then put a jack under the front spring hanger and press the crack closed then have a good competent welder weld that up! Those custom brackets would work BUT !!! they probably will pull the...

    Bumper & Frame Issue

Ya but that's not taking into account suspension differences or tire wear and inflation etc etc. Really the only way to measure would be to replace the body bushings so that the body is evenly lifted from the frame and then measure from the body down to the frame horns.

    Wheel bearing replacement.

Just a side note: Wheel bearings should be cleaned and repacked every year or two depending on how many miles are put on them each year. They can last for ever if repacked routinely.

    Help! vacuum hoses

That is the cruise control diaphragm. There is a vacuum canister (usually a plastic ball) that is used to hold that plunger to keep the throttle applied to keep the vehicle moving at the set cruise speed. The reason the Eddy carb didn't work is because you need to have a corrector bracket to...

    Bumper & Frame Issue

NO! No you cant measure with that truck sitting in dirt! You need a flat concrete surface like a garage floor or something. You will never ever get reliable measurements like that! Never!

    Carb help

Yes a custom build with a good core will be better. That has been my experience with those autoline carbs in the past. They would use throttle plates or air horns from different carbs but they never straightened them so they would bind when trying to re assemble them. If that's what the summit...

    Bumper & Frame Issue

Ya exactly Jerry is right. The drivers side rad support mounting bushing is collapsed and makes it look like the spring hangers are off but its just an optical illusion. This means that the body is tilted to the drivers side and may be why you are having issues lining up the bumper to the body.

    New intake and carb question

^^XX2 I totally agree. I also think if you are going to just run to a key on source then you should run right into the fuse block and use a spare accessory spot with its own fuse. That way your not hacking up the engine bay harness and it looks more professional and it is safer having its own...

    290hp 350 heads upgrade?

Well ya I guess all 3 work good together rather then just one upgrade by itself. I guess Im just saying that the RV cam is a definite upgrade over a stock engine setup and will give good gains. But ya if you do all 3 then the whole will be much better.

    Carb help

^^XX2 I see that Summit is selling rebuilt Q-jets for $325. Im not sure if they have the throttle shafts re bushed or the fuel plugs sealed properly/ But I would think they do. They also sell a JET Q-jet for $379 and they do have both bushings and plugs, so that would be a good option and...

On top of that diagram the climate controls inside the cab are vacuum operated and a small vacuum line runs from the passenger side upper firewall and gets connected to the other side of that T
