I still have not purchased new brackets, straps, or anti squeak because of the price, as you mentioned @Grit dog , for the brackets. I am still on the fence about buying new or restoring old. I think you just talked me in to grinding down the old brackets clean and painting to save money. -

I get ahead of myself. I am stockpiling to start a project that to me will improve the life of the truck. Yes it's true, I really don't know the exact problem but I assume, guilty. One of the first big projects I thought needed to be re-done was gas tanks but always was intimidated by the job... -

My wife and I just watched Groundhog Day with our kids for the first time tonight. Such an awesome movie. I think I saw it with my Mom and Dad at least 3 times in the theater when it came out. -

Walked past it a couple times and stared at it, then ordered a Walbro fuel pump. JEGS first e mail said my GM TBI adaptor has shipped and arrival would be today, I thought to myself: "That's f***** fast!", then I clicked the track package icon and Fed Ex doesn't even have it yet. Rain all day... -

I found an OEM TBI adaptor at JEGS for $16.99! Woohoo! Shipping is $16.99 Doh! Should I just order it? -

I also found a couple of GM specific adaptor valves that you hook up in line and you pop a pressure guage right on to the side. Too bad both of them are nearly $50!! They cost more than some of pressure test kits! -

Yes I was thinking I would be able to hook up one like I saw in a video. The guy used an OTC kit that had a specific Schrader T style valve specific for GM TBI as it listed on the OTC kit contents. I'm looking in to the Actron brand test port that @gmbellew mentioned. -

There are many different Schrader valves but none are a direct fit to the fuel pump. I think I can pull off a test with a T fitting, some clamps and hose from this kit. -

Bought a fuel filter to see which attachments I could use on the truck with the pressure tester guage I borrowed: a Betooll 0-140 psi kit. Nothing fits GM TBI from it. Does anyone have an affordable, or reliable definite go to kit they recommend that has an attachment to test GM TBI? -

Sorry All, I will only post in this thread when I make some progress and stop derailing it. This is the longest my truck has been OOC since I have owned it and I don't like it. Until this problem I have been able to fix the problems or upgrade if needed. Thanks all for your input I appreciate it. -

You make great points here Todd. I can remind you of my truck symptoms but I'm sure it's driving everyone else crazy. Currently I am going after the drivers tank since it hasn't worked in over a year and it needs to be replaced. I then realized the cat is in the way. I feel like removing the bed... -

At Oreilley's to pick up my new tank and sender. I guess I'll ask about the pipe cutter and see about a new cat.
