Need advice on what to do with old bed liner and while we are at it sealing up these scratches.

You could always use a couple handfuls of Rock Auto magnets glued on the bottom of the mat to hold it in while in motion. It looks heavier than it must be.

91 Suburban Rear Speaker - Which Ohm?

I remember 4 or 8 ohms, but my memory is $#!t any more. Tuner cleaner, or elec contact cleaner might bring it back. But, if it's doing that now, it will eventually get worse. Sorry.

91 Suburban Rear Speaker - Which Ohm?

Sounds like a classic case of dirty control potentiometer in the radio.

Old v belts vs new v belts

All the belt "traction" is on its sides. If the bottom of the belt is engaging, it's worn out.

Any value in California emissions air pump stuff

That is good to hear. Mine is a CA spec'd 454, so I'm going to box it all up and maybe make someone very happy someday, since I don't plan on tagging anything in California in my lifetime (what's left of it).

SRO, Brother has a velcro roll up style on his ■, but it uses the top rail so that won't work for you. His Titan has a tri fold that fits inside the top rail, but I don't know who made it so I guess this is one of those fabled $#t posts because I wasn't much help at all. Sorry

    Can anyone identify these wheels?

Thanks Carol, I've always figured OBS wheels should work. Lol, It's good to hear that maybe I was right on something.

    Can anyone identify these wheels?

I wish I could trade these 16.5 steels for 16" steels. But I wish lots of things, especially that the hand that fills with $#!t first wouldn't do that.

Need advice on what to do with old bed liner and while we are at it sealing up these scratches.

I'm still toying around with thin strips of UHMW in the floor lower slots. My mini truck has one of those hard plastic bed tubs, the kind that goes all the way up and onto the flat portion a canopy sits on. I like the fact I can slide stuff easily in the bed, but have been bitten twice by...

I visualize the straps of uhmw would be held in place with countersunk screws nutted from below, 3 or 4 per. I don't have any bedliner in my bed but like the idea of the sliders on the bed

Have you given any consideration to installing thin straps of UHMW or such in the depressions in the bed, to give yourself a durable "slick" on the floor? They would only need to be an eigth of a inch or so above the deck..... I'm thinking 1/4" thick strips, an inch wide...

    A/C Question regarding different years

That sounds like what I need to do man. Thanks for lining it all out for me. Now, gotta find the independent wealth to make it happen. edit - probably should try to pull a vacuum now and see what needs replacing so I don't do this twice too. BTW, is it just me or does any one else wish they...

    A/C Question regarding different years

You washed the entire system out prior, right? Or did you use new old stock or similar? I ask because I would like to run the original stuff in the '79 and have heard that if you clean it real well and use r-134 specific things like the pressure switch. True or not in your experience?

For the pros.... Axle shaft question. Please advise

The clue was in the second sentence right up front K I did a double take at first as well. Used to be a speedy sleeve for just about anything.

Well, you won't have to worry about that now on your rig. You're safe from the tweaker horde.

    Deleting the Catalytic Converter

You can take them in for recycling and make some money from them. Around these parts, you need to bring the title by in your name to "prove" legal ownership. The older style and OEM varieties pay best. Lol, just ask any tweakers. They're already on to it. I'm surprised no one else has brought...

What happens? You stink like unburned hydrocarbons. Your eyes water and it smells like 1972 all over again. If it's not broken, don't "fix" it.
