New to GMSB from Oregon
Really limited in what you can do without relocating the gas tank(s) to a blazer/suburban tank or in the bed fuel tank. Basically can only install little hoop steps that bolt to the body afaik. Same with the re-engineered AMP steps. Thats why they call out for a burb. Gotta lose the saddle...- Grit dog

Need to replace rubber fuel lines on top of both tanks….
You NEED 2 people or a welder to remove bed bolts unless you just cut em off or split the nuts. They are 100% guaranteed to spin unless someone is standing on the bolt head or you tack them to the bed floor. Even if they are not corroded, they’re about 20% guaranteed to spin. Fuel tank straps
My experience is limited to replacing a tank with the bed off and 35 year old bolts that you could break loose with an open end wrench. And dropping a tank once 30+ years ago to do a new sender. But I agree, while GM made provisions for the straps with the tank in frame, it would seem easier... -

Center axle disconnect came back in 2013/14. Still spins the knuckle u joints 24/7 but it’s an improvement. But honestly, if you look at it objectively, installing locking hubs, no matter how you slice it, has negative ROI unless maybe you’re gonna run em 250k miles or more. ^Yeah the carburetor loyalty is strong apparently. Lol. If it makes you feel better both my squares have Edelbrocks. They both start fine hot or cold, they don’t bog and I spent $0 extra because they came on the trucks. The one is basically new. The other is probably old enough to drink legally...- Grit dog

Agreed, but just like @Ricko1966 has so many good means and methods, if you go into it knowing you’re axing bed bolts, it’s not too hard and doesn’t take that long and a new set is like $25. Then you’ve just fixed a future issue forever. Whoever asked about re-hooking up the hoses with the bed...- Grit dog

High Pressure Fuel pump install
They work great. I didn’t get it from LMC. I dont recall now but there’s several similar options out there. My carb 454 is a gen vi so cant run a mechanical pump. This little gadget is the ticket to safe operation.- Grit dog

Turbo 350? If you have the kick down cabke adjusted too tight when you hooked it back up to the carb linkage it won’t upshift until max rpm’s. Does it shift way late from 1-2 as well? Quite possibly the issue. On the gas filler thing, 70s squares hate the stupid new vapor recovery nozzles...- Grit dog

Have you tried advertising them locally? I feel like someone would buy the tanks pretty quick, local. But with shipping it would be a deal breaker. The brackets and straps, easier to ship and probably more in demand in rust country. Put them on PNW square bodies on FB too maybe. -
