Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

I was referring to the outer edges of the drum.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

The issue is simply that the wheel centers on a factory wheel fade away between the welds and the centers on the aftermarket wheels don't. I would take pics of both to show you but I'd have to dismount a wheel, and I know my info is correct. Do you have your old wheels? Compare them and you'll...

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

If someone can verify that c10 and k10 drums are the same you'll be in business with the fix I described.

Rims won't fit on rear with drums.

I bought the same wheels. Test fit them before painting and had the same trouble. The wheel inner is manufactured a little differently than the factory wheels. A couple of hours with a Dremel wheel along the edges of the inner wheel openings and all was well. My truck is a 77 c10 and the wheels...

Does 33x12.50R15 fit at the rear of a 2wd C10 with stock suspension, stock 8x15 wheels

Mickey Thompson built a kick ass truck. Great look to it.

    Cowl Induction or stock?

I like a cowl hood on a 69 Camaro. To me it just seems out of place on a squarebody.

I finally got my hands on a squarebody!

Welcome from the Central Valley. Post some pics of that rig.

It's called a cluster backing plate. LMC truck parts has them.

    Bucket seat belt sleeves

Fab up brackets with a 90-degree twist and hole in each end. Bolt one end to the floor and the other to the belt/sleeve. Keep the brackets as short as possible and use good quality hardware.

    Cowl Induction or stock?

Stock wheels, stock hood IMHO. That ornament is cool as hell.

    327 vs 350 for a daily driver

I have my old 327 sitting in in a crate. Came out of a 64 c10 I drove for a while before I wrecked it :( Double hump heads, kinda cool. Hopefully one of these years I can pick up something to put it in.

    Steering Wheel Cleaning

Dawn, warm water, and a fairly stiff bristled brush. Helps to wet a towel with the soapy solution and wrap it on the wheel for a bit before using the brush. Softens up the grime.

Does anyone experience a drop in rpm when turning on the A/C?

Rpms on my 350 drop a touch when I turn on the a/c. Does the engine stall out? Idle speed may be set too low.

Free Hood Lift System for 1973-1980 Truck

Yeah reminds me of my 928. The rear hatch was pretty heavy and when the struts got weak that thing would mouse trap the hell out of you. I would stick with springs.

    Pure SEX!

68 and 69 don't have the little fender flares at the back of each wheel well. Much more pure design. Had the shark gills too instead of the eggcrate fender vents.

    Wheel help/opinions

7" wheel and 235/70 would give you a pretty vertical side wall on the tire. 8" and 275/60 would do that as well. My 6" wheel pulls the side wall in, 10" pulls the side wall out. I didn't use a 7" on the front because I already had the stock 6" wheels and wanted that big and little look. If I...

    Wheel help/opinions

I don't know if the track width on these trucks is the same front and rear, but if so, then using 8 and 10" wheels will set the front 1 3/4" narrower than the rear. My front track is tucked in just over 3" narrower than the rear on a 6" wheel as you can see in the last pic. You said that would...

    Wheel help/opinions

8" AR61 has a 3.75" back space. 10" wheel is a 4" back space. So difference of 1.75" toward the outside. Definitely noticeable difference I would say. When I say fill out the wheel well I mean vertically. Sounds like you mean horizontally. Look at the pics of my truck and imagine the rear wheel...
