    Oil Leak

Dye was helpful for us. Found it was rear of intake manifold along gasket. Easton was going to replace manifold anyway and we did it with the “right stuff” sealant and that fixed everything.

    Precision windshield gasket too big

@Bloodhound1981 , Jeff Gau at precision is a great resource and will answer the phone if you call. We used the one piece gasket and it was a bear to say the least. Our problem was that it was almost too small and left large gaps on the upper cab/windshield. When it rained, water would literally...

Broken hearted kid and fuel system

@medic503 stay with it. Y’all are so close! I say electric fuel pump as suggested above. Cheap and easy fix. On a side note.. don’t quit! Easton bought his square with his money at 14.. we worked on it for 2 years to get it where it is today and I can’t tell you the number of times I wanted to...

    Ammeter Fuse size?

Got to replace fuel gauge Thursday so wanted to only take dash and cluster out once. Can’t find a voltmeter in time as everyone is back ordered. So I think to save my brain and quit troubling y’all so much, I’ll wait for the voltmeter to come in and just pull cluster over the winter and do the...

    Ammeter Fuse size?

Nick, I am causing too much trouble trying to figure this out but so appreciate all your help. The only wire that is intact is the black/white one in the picture, it has the fuse holder. The solid black coming out of the fuse block that is cut is just there, no length (it may be 2” at the point...

    Ammeter Fuse size?

@RustyPile , gotcha. Will do. The black and white wire is the one that is intact and had broken fuse. The solid black wire is the one cut at fuse block. We will get another glass fuse holder and run it up to the area of the front left headlight and terminate it there and hope for the best! The...

    Ammeter Fuse size?

Thank you @RustyPile. That answers many questions actually. Ammeter never worked. AND we had this black wire that was cut off and bare by PO sometime. It’s hot 12V when we tested it and never knew where it went. It is right next to the black and white wire in same spot that has the fuse holder...

    Ammeter Fuse size?

So cool to just replace with a blade style 3 amp? Is there a second fuse everyone talks about. We found nothing.

    Ammeter Fuse size?

Have ammeter in gauge cluster and does not work. Previous threads show 2 fuses, we can find only one and it’s blown and broken off in old holder. What size fuse does it need? Going to replace it with a new bladed fuse holder just need size. If there is another fuse any hide and seek information...

    Speaker pods/General stereo questions

Well @scenic760 , @Rusty Nail and @Scribbles have a ton more background than me and my kid combined. I will just say that E has about 1K in the system and you can hear him turning into the neighborhood and he loves it…Kids! sounds like you have a great plan! I will say of all the things we did...

    Speaker pods/General stereo questions

@scenic760 I can’t find the box. Easton is not around. i would say his amp was 12” long 6” wide and 2” high and fit great under seat. I fabricated some aluminum mounts that I screwed to floor so amp would have air circulation around it, not sure that makes any difference but it looked cool…...

Adding Air Conditioning in the South

We did vintage air 1 year ago. Absolutely the way to go. Easy instal and works great. Engine heat is used and it has defrost and floor vents. We did it over a weekend and it performs as advertised. Great customer service and tech help if you need it. Randy and Easton

Has anyone bought the LMC dash?

We did the LMC with metal as well. Very happy with how it was made and how it installed in truck. Bezel was not that bad except for drivers right side AC vent was hard to set back in and took a bit of adjustments and then went in fine. We had to trim the foam away from the inside of the...

Shift shaft seal leaking on 700r4?

we agree with @FireTruck1984 . Just take your time. Our first removal tool was defective and had to get on other and it finally bit and the rest was easy. Not a lot of room but doable. I struggled with the first tool for days as it would not bite. Bought our tool and seals on line at...

    Speaker pods/General stereo questions

@scenic760 , imagination and funds is the limit with this stuff. When Easton wanted to do stereo I took a backseat. He spent 1K on amazon and got a great system that we can hear when he drives in the neighborhood. Never understood 1500 watt amp for a standard cab truck but what do dads know...
